Monkey Wrench, Foo Fighters, Madison Square Garden, New York, June 20th, 2021; 1st rock concert at Madison Square Garden since March 10th, 2021 due to pandemic
I first saw the FOOS live on May 15th, 1998 at William Paterson College, NJ. 16 songs, a couple hundred people in the audience, General admission. I was up at the stage for the entire show. Got a pick from Dave. Like seeing the first Beatles show. Well, kinda. Maybe not.
That's awesome, and I don't mean to be that guy, but I can beat it... saw them in Ybor City in April 1996. No more 400 people there. A bunch of people threw Mentos at them during Big Me. I've not been to a Foos show since. Don't want to ruin the memory.
I saw this comment and was waiting for the moment. I was like "There's no way he forgets the 'One last thing...' part of the song, right? I mean that's the most memorable part..." I underestimated the power of Jager and Coors Light.
Grohl is damn near deaf because he wants to feel and hear the live sound. Plus, when you've been at it for this long, you lock in with your band automatically
For the drum tech the show must be the most boring part of his job. He has to be there looking at Taylor Hawkings for over two hours in every gig. you can tell by his face that he has seen the show too many times.
