Monmouth to Bigsweir kayak 1 June 2019 

Join me and the Kayak Crew on this 6 mile kayak on the Wye River on the 1 June 2019.
This was part of my quest to kayak the entire 100 mile navigable length of the Wye River.
We stopped at the Boat Inn at Penallt near to Redbrook for some a drink and some food halfway along the route.
The Wye River is one of the best kayaking rivers in the world and this section. of the Wye from Monmouth to Bigsweir is agreat one to kayak although I also describe a couple of option for hiking this section of the Wye Valley on the Wye Valley ath or the Offa's Dyke Trail.
The video explains the logistics of where we parked, what bus serves this section, where we stopped off for lunch, etc.
We used inflatable kayaks for our trip on this section of the Wye and they served us well, a versatile and mobile option.
You also get to see the birdlife on the Wye river up close, such as swans, geese and ducks.
