I like how this one actually gives a small hopeful twist at the end with him basically saying "I never could control my fate and end, but maybe you and those after you can. Keep fighting"

I like that Juno expresses that 2:34 is the only line we get out of Gold in this whole video through the absolute agony in which "NO MORE" comes out which strikingly contrasts the pretty monotone inflection heard prior, and the similar tone it precedes. It really hammers in to me that Monochrome is a battle against The Unown, and has nothing to do with Gold. His only contribution to the song is to desperately beg for its end before being twisted and mangled even further beyond repair, just to be piloted by his puppeteers even more. Another amazing project from Juno, makes me re-appreciate this incredible song all over again 👏

I adore the passion during the No More part. He sounds like he goes from detached "Such is life" to an angry "But why is it life?" Good work Juno

I like how the entire time he was projecting his hopelessness onto boyfriend but by the end seeing how boyfriend survived the perish song and how determined he is realizes it and tell’s boyfriend to keep fighting because he is different from everyone thats fallen before him

My jaw dropped as Gold started naming Gens 6-9, and it proceeded to make like a Mega Glalie and snap off in awe when the gorey protags appeared aswell. Your Monochrome with Lyrics has already branded itself in my mind, and I say with no hyperbole that this is such an incredible extension.

I like to imagine Gold is making these mirages to warn BF about the few possible things that can happen to him once his time comes, and that makes it all the more eerie. You did great on this one, Juno!

The anger in Gold's voice during the No More part will never cease to amaze me. He's basically saying how life is hopeless no matter how much we weave it, and at the end were he realizes that BF knows that his fate is written he still fights and he admires that and tells BF to basically dream on, I love it! another banger w/ lyrics from Juno

The part at 3:25 actually makes my skin crawl away and hide, the way it is performed is flawless and is definitely the best part.

4:00 This verse is one of the best I've heard from a with lyrics video, it sounds so elegant and really portrays Golds epiphany that not everyone is doomed to fail

In 'im dead' phase Gold is telling us the fate of all other trainers from the games telling their tragic legacy. The fact this doesn't discourage BF surprises Gold and brings him hope that not all champions end in tragedy.

I low-key love it that (my interpretation of the ending) Ethan is basically saying "Oi, mate, grab fate by the balls and become known while you still got the chance to."

God, the entire "no more" part of this is perfect. From ethan's passion, to the frankly horrifying images of the pokemon protagonists meeting their end, and the hopeful ending, this is EASILY the best cover of monochrome.

Gold singing an octave higher than originally, all the new art in that second half, and especially the animation as it simmers back down before the grand finish! Fun facts about the song: As gold is listing all the games in the series in the song, pokemon gold is the only one out of order. Juliana's "bad ending" artwork is the only one displayed just once, everyone elses is shown at least twice. Dawn's "bad ending" artwork references another song in the hypno's lullaby mod, death toll, the only artwork to do so. Juliana and Serena are the only ones not wearing their signature head accessories. If you look closely during 3:49, you can see every protagonist's names in unown And that's all the facts I got

I really loved the detail of other pokemon game protagonists meeting the relatively same fate as Gold, especially the irony of Gloria and Victor being killed with a sword and shield. However, it's interesting to note Red did not appear once. It appears even in death Gold cannot defeat him. Fantastic work as always Juno!

The No More segment is absolute fire, the lyrics and references to the other Pokemon games are brilliant, and damn, those drawings of the fate of the other protagonist are also so damn good.

I have to say, for some reason the image of Hilda crucified is the one who freaks me out the most, like in most fan art and in the manga (from what I've heard) she's always cheering and happy so the image of her basically giving up hope is haunting

I love the ending, it gives the feeling that Gold knows he can't do anything, but he's telling the player "Go, don't end up like me, don't let your story fade." It's amazing!

Okay the “PERISH mix” part of this is unironically so good. I love how you can sort of feel his voice get angrier and angrier until he just starts like shouting and being like “WHY IS IT LIKE THIS MAN I HAD A LIFE AND THEN I JUST TURNED INTO THIS” and then the “yet you still fight on” being kinda like Gold realizing BF/The Player is determined to keep fighting despite him telling him stuff is pointless, so he essentially says “it’s too late for me, but you still have a chance, if you go down, do not go down giving up.” this is a FNF mod and yet i have this sudden burst of motivation

3:24 this is my favorite part. It goes hard and it references all the Pokémon games well, not all of them

I loved the original and this is even better than that! It still carries the same warning message that he - or perhaps the unown - are trying to give of being forgotten despite your deeds. Yet the listener - and bf - don't back down. The rising emotions through it especially as his body is discarded, eventually just dying off as what little flame he had left to rage against fate give way to a quiet hope: maybe this stubborn kid will leave a legacy behind that will last. Also it's very catchy and has fantastic references

The jumpscare after “There’s nothing that lies at the end” is so perfectly timed in my opinion, very nice.

Might just be me, but the way that he delivers "There's nothing that lies at the end" is just perfect and the best delivered line in the song, because he sounds both angry and sad that it is true

The koraidon eating the scarlet protagonist as the one of the quickest flashes was a nice touch at the end and all the death scenes where done super well and how it only references gens past golds death well done

I'm a big sucker for tone changes during performances and what they mean, and this one was flawless and amazing!

Okay Juno, you always goes hard when editing and making art for videos but like holy shit did you go full throttle here, usually I’m not that squeamish when it comes to gore/scary imagery but like everything here (especially during Ethan’s/Gold’s encore like WOW.) almost got me. this was an absolute blast to listen to!

Im a bit late, but it was thanks to this song that I realised just how incredibly lucky the protagonists are in their games. One thing wrong, and most of them could have ended like you portraited. Really makes you think of Pokemon adventures being worth it or not.

The images flashing of trainers being contorted not only elevates the already-present horror distributed in Monochrome already, but highlights the message of Lost Silver itself. Death waits for no one. No matter how far you may run from it, it will always catch you. They did not heed Gold's message. They did not live their lives to the fullest, always one thing unsatisfactory to them. However, in passing his lesson on to boyfriend, he hopes that BF won't make their mistake and will spend his life to its fullest extent.

Holy fuck this is so fucking cool!! Not only is the original part so fresh and funky with the improved vocals, but the No More section is absolutely fantastic! Your vocals are amazing, especially around the end with such power and emotion in every word. Another perfect lyric video as always Juno ✨☺️✨

3:24 I love that he starts angrily screaming the lyrics Edit: one thing I don’t get is the tone change at the end. Don’t get me wrong, it sounds amazing…but if you follow the events chronologically from that week it shows Snow on Mt Silver, which is how Ethan died, then it shows Bf running into Silver and his shiny feraligatr, which then presumably attacks him, and before monochrome it shows a wide shot of Ethan’s grave, undisturbed from how it was in the lost silver creepypasta. Meaning Bf didn’t break in to battle Ethan…he’s dead too and was put in that same grave. He’s sharing a similar fate to all the regional champions.

The sheer emotion that is brought to the table is only something I could hope to achieve in a lyrical adaptation. Simply well done, well deserving sequel to your most popular video.

I’m a bit late, but 3:25 - 4:01 slaps harder than any other FNF song with lyrics I’ve heard. I love the growls on lines like ‘lies at the end’ and ‘crumble one-by-one’, it really adds to the feeling of torment and unbridled rage that the Perish Mix has. Excellent work, Juno! Love all your stuff, dude! :] (Also may or may not be working on a cover of this so hehe)

Can we talk about how good the art is in the jumpscares? It's absolutely fantastic.

N O M O R E . Once again, a killer performance, Gold has always been an interesting character in the mod to me. But unfortunately not much else about him or his condition (aside from the original creepypasta) are looked into. This is a good example of that. I especially love the small visual references to the other songs in the mod. Almost as if Gold and the Unown are haunting the whole thing, it's oddly fitting given the popularity of Gold's design and song. Well done Juno. Please, continue to go not silent in the night.

And I’ll list what they each deal with for those who couldn’t understand(or try to list them, at least) Brendan:flesh was burnt off from the drought from Groudon May:Drowning because of Kyogre Dawn: dealing with Hell Bell(and her ears were actually bleeding) Hilda:Hung up on a cross(maybe by Team Plasma, though I’m not sure) Calem: Cursed with eternal life by Xerneas, (pointed out by a comment) and maybe driven insane ‘cause of it Serena: Dead because of Yveltal (pointed out by a comment) Elio/Selene: being torn apart by ultra beast Lusamine (also pointed out by a comment) Victor/Gloria:both stabbed(Victor by a sword, and Gloria by a shield) Julianna:I guess being eaten alive by Koraidon(which was brought to my attention from a below comment)

That new part with sun and moon, sword and shield, and all the other games had such a clever play on all the titles. I’d say I was impressed with how well they were incorporated them but knowing Juno he always does a fantastic job
