Only thing more embarrassing than losing after you GG the opponent twice is it being put in a video of one of the most popular MTG content creators. So good.
Stompy will ALWAYS be around 💪😎 My favorite era of mono green stompy was first Ixalan!! 🔥 Awesome deck Luca! It's absolutely crazy to see THIS many over statted and under costed green beaters! Power creep is real and it's kind of funny actually. With just how MUCH power creep has been happening, everyone notices the busted stuff first and then get to the strong green cards and go "omg green is getting a 3 mana 4/4 with keywords!?" and then that card rarely sees play sue to stronger synergies in the format its played in. So it's quite refreshing to see good ol' "turn creatures sideways" archetype being played! Except some of these big green creatures have Vigilance now!? Can't even say "turn creatures sideways" anymore!!!! 😂😅
That comment about mono red being more of a combo deck is really true. Like most combo decks, that deck has practically no interaction and just focuses on its own game plan.
Excellent build. I've considered crafting the remaining pieces of similar decks, but they didn't quite "feel" right. This one seems worth the wildcards. Great job.
Hey LVD I’ve been playing a gruul raccoon build with all will be one. It’s been super fun and I think you would enjoy it. Haven’t seen anyone else doing it and it’s been doing pretty damn well against the meta.
I was using Agatha's soul cauldron with some success before Bloomburg but when I subbed in Innkeepers it just blew it away. I think Innkeepers is a must have for Monogreen decks. I like Hard Hitting Question and Hunters but I really need more instant speed removal vs Monored. Right now I'm trying out Archdruid's Charm with Tail Swipe. It does ok but it's not wonderful. I do like the 3 mana tutor though.
this deck actually looks good. Who would´ve thought that all monogreen needed was 7 new cards( all from bloomburow, LOL), all of which are undercosted powercrept creatures and enchantements.
Thoughts on adding in Flourishing Bloom-Kin as another 2 drop and cutting the Mightcallers? I’m not sure how hard you want to lean into the oak hollow village plan but it could be interesting as a scalable 2 mana play
@@LegenVD Actually it pretty much dumpsters mono-red if they don't specifically have slickshot + buffs + fling, because they can't get the extra hit in with mouse or scamp. Still somewhat dependent on going first, but definitely helps a lot.
@@JohnSmith-rr3jt dinos do literally nothing if they're on the play with t1 cancermouse. They can just banesplitter/rage on t2 to get you to 16, next turn pump+fling is lethal just from the burn. Only way to survive (temporarily) on the draw is if you block with your mana dork on t2. Also, Duskmourn is coming and if they ever start with Leyline of Resonance and mouse, you'll die on t2. Like, they'll literally turn 2 mountain and kill you from 20 before you ever untap from turn 1.
@@JohnSmith-rr3jt Relying on blockers isn't how you beat this version of monored. Instant speed removal is. Let's say you have a 6/6, do you attack with it or stay back? If you're not putting the red deck under pressure you give them more time to find a lethal combo. They can play more random creatures out and eventually attack with everyone. Only one or two need to connect and get pumped. A scamp with a pump spell can trade for an 8/8, for the whopping cost of two mana.
@@LegenVD I've had lots of success with mono-blue after I saw you play Ephara's Dispersal. Along with Into the Flood Maw that makes 8 1-mana bounces which can come out for 0 mana with Eluge. And the best thing is that if you time it right you effectively counter their pump spells by preventing them from resolving, without having to deal with the death effects of the creatures. Truly a deck that can keep up in tempo with what they're trying to do, with the downside of you have to be a little luckier to draw the right cards than they do because their deck is so redundant.
How about goldvein hydra? It just seems so good in any green deck. Fits everywhere in the curve except for t1, and kind of synergestic with all the +1 counters
gotta find room for ozolith 😅 it cycles for when its not needed and really forces them to deal with your stuff asap especially red decks trying to kill 3 toughness dudes.... good ole ozzy
also makes your oakhollow lands put 2 counters on creatures that entered.... which could be the difference between dying to lightning strike or blocking a huge threat
Sometimes it's the best removal option in your colors for a certain purpose, but it does have a drawback. Cards like Temporary Lockdown can somewhat mitigate it by exiling the Map tokens.
Monored seems just crazy to me Like the game shouldnt be over by turn 3 if your unlucky with your draws. Feels like the game needs more creatures that are walls with extra benefits, its like all agro rn. More cheap walls plz
