How (R , /) follows algebric property at 5:45. For eg : (5,0) 5/0 is infinte which is not real number.

I think we should take 2^1=2.Then only a*e=a .Also it's a semigrp and algebraic structure .

2^0 = 1 is NOT a monoid, because (a^e not equal to a), rather 2^1 = 2 IS a monoid cause a^e is equal to a, BUT one can argue 1^2 is not equal to 2 as it is one of the conditions you mentioned too, so a^e = a but e^a = e (not a)

Monoid. But Natural number w.r.t. Multiplication is Not Monoid because natural number starts with 1. 0 is not allowed in natural number. Sir explained clearly in last example.

@@yes_daily_motivation @Tushar Goyal U r right.Real numbers are not closed under division since, although 5 and 0 are real numbers, infinity is not(atleast that's what I think).
