MX Browns are just too elite. These broken in Hyperglide Browns from Divinikey are super nice. I know it's considered sacrilegious to put foam in a TGR board but I really do just like the sound of these browns with the plate foam. Haven't really decided if I prefer this build to the MX Blacks on CF build from my previous video. I will likely play around with this board a good bit more!

Thanks so much! Browns on PC is so good. I wish MX Browns got as much love as MX Blacks.

I recently got some 1 mil broken in mx browns from a friend and I have for me sound wise I like mx blacks more, but feel wise I think I enjoy these browns more. Fantastical build and lovely sounds. I need to get a pc plate for my browns

I feel the same way - love the feel of MX Browns but tend to prefer the sound of MX Blacks. PC plate really is a game changer for the sound on MX Browns. Thanks so much for the kind words! I hope you enjoy your build with the PC plate if you go that route!

what would you say the difference is between having plate foam and no plate foam in the tomo in terms of sound?

I would say the plate foam definitely cuts down on a lot of the resonance / hollow sound of the board, which can result in a slightly higher pitch depending on the material of the plate. It does also lower the volume a noticeable amount overall compared to no plate foam. The alphas in particular lose a bit of volume. I find the plate foam is most helpful to hide unwanted switch sounds, like spring ping or leaf tick. Hope this helps!

@@benshannon98 i see, thanks for letting me know, I wanted to try it but would hate if the volume was lowered lol, volume is probably the most important thing to me
