They work closely with Freemind (dance/choreo team) who create choreo demos and Monsta X build off of that! Shownu is known as the group's choreographer, so I think he and other members work together to perfect the dance!

Yes, JooHoney, is super toned and has built a lot of muscle lately thanks to Crossfit which he has incorporated into his workout routines. You'll also notice that Hyungwon and I.M. have also built a lot of well-defined muscle lately as well. Of course, we always have to appreciate Shownu for his hard work in keeping his body in shape as well. He is proud of his arms and for good reason! 2. Thank you for pointing out the Michal Jackson influence in JooHoney's work for GAMBLER. Not many reactors took notice or pointed it out. GAMBLER's music and choreography were a huge nod to the King of Pop and I wish more people would recognize and appreciate it as much as you did! Good eyes! 3. To answer your choreography question: This choreography was originally created by a choreography team called FREEMIND, who has been choreographing much of MONSTA X's hit songs since their debut. However, MONSTA X also has a say in their choreography and much of that say is credited to Shownu. My guess is that FREEMIND sat down with MONSTA X (especially JooHoney), and discussed their concept and theme, including MJ moves. FREEMIND came up with two demo choreographies (which you can find on their RU-vid channel) and then MONSTA X selected which parts of the two they wanted and where to put them in the song (if you watch FREEMIND's two demos, you'll see what I mean) and came up with the final piece which is AMAZING! That's just my guess on the creative process, but you get the idea.

Freemind does most of their choreography. They did two demo versions, which you can view on their RU-vid, to see which parts they used from each. The members then alter sections to their preference, with Shownu being the group's main choreographer.

Yes, it was straight out of a Michael Jsckson handbook with their own spin of it! I think what makes their choreography standout is that they are the best moving as one! They look and move as one dancer! They pull in, and keep you in until the song is ended, and sometimes beyond! That's why I prefer them over other groups! Everything monsta x does is indeed 'effortless'👏👏👏 This choreo is not as packed as their previous releases yet it is one of the hardest because making every little move move and pop look that swaggy and expensive is what one of mx's charms !
Shownu and Hyungwon are dance line and they create choreography for the group (specific dance moves) to add to the choreography and modify the choreo that's made for them by Freemind. Shownu's said other members add their input on choreo as well so I wouldn't be surprised if Jooheon also added his input for Gambler.
Their go-to choreography team, Freemind, posted here on YT the original ones they pitched. They made two versions! There was a lot of revision to get to the final one, and I've never seen this before with their past comebacks. Usually, it's a couple changes here and there. Not implying at all that the original versions were bad or that Monsta X didn't like them. It's really more of they're switching things up a lot this time, and we're all here for it!

Jooheon has always been inspired by him since he was a kid, he is one of the reason he's worked so hard to be a perfect All-Around idol, cause he wants to be not just a singer but an Artist. Check out the original choreos for the song on Official Freemind's channel. They made two choreos for the song and the final version used is a mixture of both plus Monsta X's own interpretation I believe. I think the final version is the best one because it is so self assured, confident in a very smooth way, goes perfectly with the song and concept
