Anyone else notice he sent that bait boat out with his bail arm closed, so the line came off his reel on his bait runner. This will cause major line twist. Send them out with the bail arm open otherwise next time you cast you could end up frapping up, cracking off with a baited rig...
Yes Jim, I agree with this, but if you are operating the boat solo, as Peter was... off the baitrunner is the best way not to get the line wrapping around the bail or the spilling off too fast. On the big pit reels, here he was using Infinity’s it takes a bit longer for the line twist to become an issue, but agree it will if you drop every rig on every trip this way. A good way of undoing this is to cast out a lead attached with PVA... once the PVA has melted you can reel in the unattached line and a lot of the twist has been removed... works even better on a river...
