There is something special, dare I say magical about the Brook Trout. I was honored to spend a week at Igloo Lake Lodge in Labrador chasing my favorite species, Salvelinus Fontinalis, the Brook Trout. The beauty of the Brook Trout knows no rival. It is why we modeled our logo after this beautiful fish. There's not a better place in the world to catch giant native Brook Trout than Labrador. This Vlog depicts not the best that Labrador has to offer, but a real experience, dare I say, a real journey, that I took this past summer. We hope you enjoy Vlog #1. I have been to Igloo Lake Lodge each year for the last 6 and can say it is a slice of heaven. The hook and release policy works as the fish are getting larger each visit. The staff try hard to make your visit one that you will remember for a lifetime. Brian Cuming-- Fredericton --NB -- Canada

Thanks guys. My love for Brook Trout runs deep, especially being from New England. Labrador is the place to be for the big ones though. Can't wait to be with you guys this July for #Iceland2020

Backyard Angling thanks. yea, Labrador and Igloo Lake is a dream come true for sure. thanks for the kind words about that vlog. we are planning on heading back in Aug if Canada opens up. you are welcome to join us. we are adding in a fly out for big beautiful Arctic Char as well. i guess big numbers and good size. i can’t wait. yes we are filming the entire 21 day road trip. stay tuned. doing a daily post on IG when i get service. ✌️

Being from Labrador myself, it sure is great to know true fly fishers are out there, especially even dressed as a fully qualified bomb disposal technician as in 8:02 of the clip. its a distraction for the fish and it works.

Looking at their website I see the pricing at around $5750. Looks like very select availability for ‘23, some for ‘24 and booking for ‘25. It’s that good. Hit me up for more info. Thx for watching.

Hey dude, if you can get a GoPro and a GoPro chesty for chest footage, I think people would come to your videos a lot more

Thanks for the feedback. I have a several GoPros. The one sequence in the river where I fished down away from the camera I left in for effect. Not the best visually tho so I understand your point. I’ll consider more chest footage. I do use it on some videos from time to time. Thx Rob.

I was there with my son three years ago, and fished many of those same places. My eight year old son landed an 8 pound trout on our first evening on the water and a 15 pound Pike on our last night on the water. My son and I landed over 100 fish each in the days between. It was truly a trip of a lifetime. I cannot Thank Jim Burton and the staff at Igloo Lake Lodge enough!!
