Probably because he wants to see exactly which ones he needs to focus more on AND if any of those adjustments would end up doing more harm than good. Just because he is working in the same area, doesn't mean he is doing the exact same thing. Things that work with the human body deal in millimeters and smaller measurements. Just applying tiny bit more pressure on the same area for 2 different people can have drastically different results, so he needs to know what he is working with.

Because this is nothing but selling snake oil. Chiropractic "medicine" is a pseudoscience. You won't find a single scientific or medical journal proving the effectiveness of these so called treatments. These are not real doctor's, no matter how many times they'll tell you. Do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment with an MD or DO.

... thanks for your question. a few examples... The side posture adjustments all look the same. However I can use that position to adjust any segment from L1 to the bottom of the SI joint. Each Lumbar segment (L1-L5) has a specific line of drive that correlates to the facet (joint) angle... and it's position in the lumbar lordosis (which can be hypo or hyperlordotic). This is step one... Now, each segment can go either... forward or back (most of the time it's back) left or right (laterality can be corrected with either a push or a pull and can therefore be corrected with the patient laying on either side... the cobra is an example of an atypical move) after moving posterior they can go... left up or left down right up or right down. That's 8 possibilities in 5 segments 40 possibilities... The thoracic segments have similar misalignment possibilities, with the additional consideration of the rib articulations. And all that has to be adjusted without the rotation component and the patient in a face down position. You can see examples of the rotation thoracic adjustment in S1:E1 "Muscles Mechanics and Meta." I mentioned the SI joints earlier. This is the connection between the Sacrum and the ilium. An ilium listing can be either Posterior or Anterior with possible Internal or External rotation. Giving us the possibilities PIEX, PIEN ASEX, ASIN or just PI, AS, EX, IN on either side by itself. 8 possibilities... Then we can also adjust the sacrum itself as it fixates... base posterior, left up, left down right up, right down The sacrum can list 5 ways The ilium can list 8 Then L1-L5 each have 8 different possibilities That's 53 different possible adjustments where the patient is laying on their side. They all look the same... I can go in a lot of directions from here.. the rest of the spine is just as complex the extremities cranial organ, muscle and tendon manipulations In the end... your comment is valuable bc it points out the fact... Each patient does get the same adjustment... A full spine, full body, problem focused, body specific adjustment... ... at least on my table

Chiropractors are not doctors of medicine but they ARE doctors. It would be disrespectful to refuse to acknowledge them as doctors.
