I almost lost some fingers in Florida one year at the fort pierce jetti. I was putting a bunch of mullet and bait fish back in the water that some fisherman netted amd just left 100s of extra fish that wouldnt fit in his bucket he just left on the rocks. So I put a couple in my bucket and was putting the rest back. While I was reaching in the rocks about 3ft from the waters edge out of nowhere a huge green eel shot out of the water and grabbed a 7 to 8 inch mullet out of my hands and completely swallowing the fish and just missing my hand. It was the biggest one I've seen ever can't say exactly how long without eggerateing but it came 3ft out of the water and still had a foot or more in the water and it was as big around as my calf muscle it was very exciting and also scary because I realized after the fact how close I came to serious injury. But I didn't so I have a pretty cool fish story to tell. And yeah the eel gets bigger and bigger every time I tell it. Lol

Years ago I got bit by a 3’ albino. I dropped a stainless steel thermometer into the tank. I put my hand into the tank to get it and the lungfish got me. Shocked the heck out of me. More surprised than hurt. A little bit of blood. Thank god for no serious teeth. So much for albino’s having poor eyesight.

The lungfish didn't eat so Lenny has to feed it again.

When my new fishes don't eat, I tie food on a string and keep it next to it's mouth and pester it until it eats it. I keep doing that until it starts eating on it's own.
