Jesse takes the very first monster that failed on Monster Garage, the Hearse Car Crusher, and feeds it to a car crusher of his own! See more at / monstergarage
My old buddy John Watson he was the camera man that shot that shot of the Hearse explosion and how it got high sided on top of the conveyor belt and they had to stick a bunch of engines up the conveyor belt to push the Hearse over the edge into the crusher and it wasn't one just one propane tank it was at least 3.
Hard to believe they'd permit that, the propane tank. Too much risk of damage, or a fire. Unless they agreed to pay for it all! It looks somewhat "drama" with explosions seeming to originate in several spots at once in the scene with Jess. The blast that billows out the impact strips looked real though. It could have been enhanced for drama. I don't think these shows are beneath that!I worked shuttle service at night in Chicago at the Sims shredder with one of my semi-dumps, and there were sometimes explosions in there. Enclosed things like, believe it or not, driveshafts can explode but not with much force. You could hear it though. What is wild though is when what is called a "heavy" goes through. The whole machine will rumble or roar and almost "dance"! Scary to be close to! In the '90s one day I was in the Argo shredder yard in the daytime when a large round that may have been in a trunk or something was launched right through the massive top lid and I saw it in the air-and I mean way up!! It came down and was in a hole so deep it filled in behind it and you couldn't see the piece. They dug it out and it was a large piece of hi-hard roll (a mill roll or paper plant roll) more than 18 inch around and 2 or 3 feet long!! The covers on these things, the top half that swings away with a hydraulic cylinder to access the hammer drive and hammers is inches thick and lined with armor plate, and this piece went through like a torpedo!!
