I like that the original has bigger eyes and the face shape is so different. When you turn it to the side, you can really see the difference. I definitely prefer the original head mold.
Regarding her face...for anyone who is adventurous, get some acrylic pot paints ( they look like blush in a contour/ make-up pans) and simply brush in the contours unto her face. Itll make her cheekbones more prominent. Just like regular makeup contouring can!
Gonna be honest I love Spectra’s 2d art and CGI model in G1 but like holy fuck seeing the creeproduction and original doll they really really butchered her dress in doll form😭
I hate that Monster High is literally a Mattel icon and still gets the bad hair types 😤 Monster High is giving Mattel coin! How come they don’t respect the brand 🙄
They never respected the brand anyway. They filled the dolls' heads with disgusting leaking glue for years. People complained about it numerous times but, no they carried on using it. And they used it for other of their doll lines including Barbie. It seems they respect none of their products... and none of their customers either.
Hmm I mean she’s really pretty, but the OG definitely looks more ghostly in the face imo with her big eyes and hallow cheek bones. I think overall if I HAD TO pick it’d go to og for that reason. The repro is still a beautiful doll and I’d def buy it if the opportunity comes
Do u play with your dolls or repose the on shelves a lot or play with there hair along bc I’ve heard ppl who leave there doll in boxes or put them on a shelf and never touch them again complaining but it only really matters if u like playing with there hair well it’s dry or u have kids who play aggressively with your dolls
@@Ever.next36well polypropilene don't have any excuse, You shouldn't care what they do with their dolls to express an opinion about that horrible fiber... Is not your money sis and it's not your collection either
@@AAA-wq2iv just a simple Question hun and I’m not your “sis” sis if u rlly hate Polly hair and don’t even touch your dolls it’s a stupid u want your dolls to look aesthetically pleasing not fun to play with so u can save your tiny little gold coins and miss out on a good doll but I’ll be spending mine on my favorite doll bc I don’t play with my doll. The quality isn’t trashy when your doll is just on display your brain is
@@Ever.next36Poly is literally bad quality, it looks awful on display and feels bad when you play with it. It doesn't matter whether if you just display her or not, poly desintegrantes with time. I play and display my dolls and I'm tired of having to skip on dolls I like bc of poly. Poly is bad quality for adults and children, children like soft hair, like to experience it, and not even mentioning children w sensory issues.
@@Ever.next36 That fiber disintegrates like your opinion, because it is not even your money or your collection. and although it may seem stupid to you to have a quality doll and your standards are so low sis, the polypropylene seems so stiff and is horrible, but hey... it's your money and your little brain 💓
Im so shocked rn.. i really dont care if her hair is saran and the blend is not the same as the kanekalon (og) i mean they could have use the midnight runway spectra hair combo on her
At this point...they could change the hair color entirely to give it saran....of the excuse is that they cant get the exavt color in saran. No one wants polypropylene hair! ☹️
Why cant Mattel be like MGA and just use Nylon. It is such a better hair fiber. It is so much easier to work with. Nylon has all the same colors as poly. Most are even in a better quality than the poly. If i get this spectra she is gonna be going Nylon.
I'm definitely a poly hater, but I managed to make my Skulltimate Secrets 1 Frankie work by giving them a choppy haircut and flipping it out with the flat iron. Their hair is probably lower grade than Spectra's, but it worked and held up! Other than that and the face being not so iconic, I am on board.
I bought spectra and personally I love her poly hair. I know it’s controversial or maybe I got a good one but mine came rlly good and it didn’t even need a wash it wasn’t matted or anything It rlly fits her because how stiff it kinda is like a ghost and how wild it is, I love spectra
I prefer the more white spots on the dress from the original ngl,. I think the differences are striking with the new one unlike the other creepos, idk...
I can honestly get past her having poly, since (mine at least) seems to have the same kind of poly my g3 Cleo basic has, so it's at least okay, but also it looks kinda layered like her art cause it like sticks out (not sticks out but like curls outward kinda?.. idk man 😭)
Ugh I just hate the new face. This Spectra doll was my absolute favorite doll so looking at the different face feels like a botched job. The OG is gorgeous
I watched your Ghoulia review and you said something about not being able to boil wash the original dolls. When I (hopefully) get the Spectra repro, I want to switch hers and the original dolls heads. How can I get off Spectra’s head without her makeup coming off or the hair coming out because of the glue?
I'd say maybe put her in a plastic bag to heat up her head so it doesn't get wet, then very carefully take it off? That's what works for me, so hopefully it works!!
I love that spectra hair restyle i forgot what was their @ in Instagram but it really looks like the box art and i love that!! I wish mattel did that instead of a straight hair. But im happy more creeproductions to come !💖💜🤍
Is it just me or is the original doll alot shorter: the one on the right is shorter then the one on the left: does anyone else see that or is it just me?
It’s doll hair that feels dry and when time passes it starts to break down. Monster High usually uses Saran hair which is really soft and lasts a long time
