In most games "invisibility" means only slight camouflage, however when a chameleos goes invisible, it is the truest invisibility you're going to get in any game. Real ninja invisibility. You don't know it's there unless it presents itself to you. Sometimes, not even ninjas know it exists, and it may be sitting right next to them.
The Chameleos exists, it's just that his invisibility is so good, we can't see him, we also can't use thermal vision because it's a reptile, and therefore cold-blooded.
@n64central oh wide area is a skill that heals your team mates when you use a potion. its the only reason people use khezu armor. other wise its quite lack luster compared to whitle fatty, and silver los.
I know a lot of ppl hate him bcuz he steals yer items and you cant get them back but I love chameleos and his theme. He truly is the ninja of the elder dragons. also love that you can cut off his tail and nose. lots of rewards.
Y'know I've only done him pre Ash Lao but I didn't have much difficulty with him and a good fire katana...or blushing dame GS. I dare say hes even FUN to fight, as are most elder dragons other than Kirin (Little bastard!)

ahh the Chamelos one of my fave monsters of all time...just a chameleon and a dragon mixed into one awesome...but a bitch to fight at G rank me and the bf haven't quite nailed it yet
@FEAR2Ghost mmmm I beg to differ on that as amatsu magatsuchi's fury of a storm god rivals this a bit. but yeah chameoleos and amatsu have the best themes for the series.

My cousin and I like to overkill him when farming, I remember we were both working on our G-Rank'd armors so we decided that we'd fight his dragon (chameleos) twice, for the kill, then my dragon (kushala) twice. So off we set, with a TDS and Sanctioned Gunhammer and yeah... it kinda died... the first time...
@garudafalcon The problem is that all of the titles were in Japanese, I could only differentiate between them because I recognised the music. Unless they do an English release I'll never know if they have official titles or not, sorry :(
