Didn't think it was that special at first, but turns out it's actually a laser kraken with dragons for tentacles. I wish more monsters in these games were this inventive.
@@luizeduardomagalhaesferrei1265 we probably don't have his skeleton so it's probably unlikely. We have a better chance with gore since it uses the same skeleton as shara ishvala.
@@galaxyvulture6649 Yeah i know, i still wish they would do it though, this, along with ahtal-ka, Shara Ishvalda and Xenojiiva are my favorite monsters of all times
Remember when jumping into the pit, at first i was afraid of the mystery beneath knowing 100% that there would be a terrifying monster. At first when i saw the 2 dragon heads i taught it was kind of a cheap design until hè showed his true kraken form when i suddenly felt chills down my spine. This one monster was Very creative designed
Does anyone else miss the ecology intros from MH4U? Narkarkos in Gen is a good design but a little bit of creativity in its intro would have made it so much better. Picture this: you jump down the hole and then you land and get back up and see nothing. The water bubbles. Then the bones start to move. A tentacle dragon appears before you then behind you another one appears. Your character looks back a forth between both of them while the dragons focus on you then one fires its blue beam at you and you dodge only to land on the main body. It roars and throws you off then it transitions to the fight.
I once saw someone complain about the rather crappy intros of Gen only for someone to call them a Fiver and say that not everything has to be cinematic like World... *even tho Monster Hunter has had cinematic intros for the various monsters since the first game*
@@emperortethysusdacertified8175 I dont every one should have a cinematic intro but every major monster should, it's not neccessary to a konchu to have a cinematic intro but this one should have
It officially became one of my favourite monsters when it started beating my ass using a Brachydios pounder, a Glavenus tail, an Uragaan chin and a Lagiacrus shell shockers combined with Astalos scales
You know, I’ve always wanted to know what Nakarkos’s roar sounded like Now that I actually heard it, I get the feeling that Nakarkos is a giant squeaky toy.
Nakarkos quests name from LR -> Grank LR: Two headed carcass HR: Hellfire star HR event: harbinger of death HR village: a grave peril Grank: A bone to pick Grank event: welcome back to hell
That final Dragon beam may actually be what kills it. Dragon element is a very volatile and dangerous energy. That final blast may have essentially blown its brains apart.
Yeah but the immense size of it makes it inpracticable to put in the small areas of the vale. Not to mention its not your standard boss fight but yeah it would be absolutely awesome to fight it in HD
Lapse Dilationdrive What they could do if he roams the Vale is have him dig to other areas like Diablos. This means they don’t have to worry about figuring out someway for him to squeeze through the small sections to other areas. Most of the main middle-bottom areas in the Vale are quite large and could definitely work for Narkarkos.
Awful B. Bad it couldnt hè is 2 big and 2 territorial. If Lets say hè was at the rotten vale then Either hè or vaal hazak, odogaron would be exctinct since they would be the natural enemies and by the looks of it, nakarkos would erase vaal hazak and odoragan from the rotten vale
@@bringbackstpatties2967 none of you are considering the Effluvium. Without proper adaptations, there’s no way for Nakarkos to survive in the Rotten Vale long-term. People often forget how deadly Vaal is in the Rotten Vale. It’s like trying to fight a Hydrokinetic in the ocean. Vaal does not need to get in striking range of opponents, or even their sight. All Vaal needs to do is intensify the Effluvium in the environment, and stay undetected(and Vaal is perfectly camouflaged across all senses in the Rotten Vale).
@@Bananaman559 Really? I never actually saw it that way. I thought it tried to shoot the beam one last time and ends up dying before shooting it, so it just fires against the ceiling and destroys half of the Wyvern's End.
@@dinorex3464 Maybe when Nakarkos died, he lost the control of their own Dragon Energy, creating a last uncontrolled Dragon beam which killed Nakarkos, and considering how Crimson Glow Valstrax was Basically consumed by his own Dragon Energy, This could make sense
@@discodaze8369 when ? Even 3 tempered mission saphhire star guidance.. always 1 first after u killed it the second will be summoned . And then third one appear after second one dead
I have almost never heard people talking about how intelligent Nakarkos is. 1. First of all, he is a problem solver. Lets talk about how he deals with his only known preadator, Ceadeus. Nakarkos realized that Ceadeus eat them, and also that Ceadeus can't come onto land. But Nakarkos can go on land, so they leave the water to avoid the one known creature that hunts and eats them. Sometimes Nakarkos leave the water to make a wyverns end for different reasons as well. 2. Nakarkos loves food, and he destroys surrounding ecosystems to get food. But Nakarkos knows that if it eats all surrounding ecosystems, it would die cause there wouldn't be any food for when it is starving. So just like humans, Nakarkos thinks to the future. Like humans for agriculture, he farms one ecosystem for when all others dry up. So he can feed himself/herself while the other ecosystems regrow. 3. He understands science. Nakarkos is known to shoot down airships, wyverns, and elder dragons when they are flying. In order to hit these targets in the air and the targets moving, often high speeds. He would have to understand that he has to aim where they will be at the time he fires his lazer, and it is not always the same speed. Some monsters like elder dragons will move faster, and he knows this, he can calculate equations of distance and time, when shooting down monsters. All of these, are things that make up human intelligence. Problem solving, thinking about the future, and understanding science. Nakarkos has human intelligence and no one can change my mind.
I don't know where are you getting this. First off the 3rd point is stupid, no offence. The second is also stupid, no offence, you have this in lore and they said it in game at some point, Nakarkos is literally a Deviljho, in midle words he can make an ecositem go bye bye because is always hungry and they have little information on what he's capable off. Once there's no food he goes to destroy another ecosistem because of hunger issues (yeah sounds like something a Deviljho would do) and build another Wyverns End. The first point is probably the most stu- actually that makes sense.
Having Nakarkos in MHW is possible in a new expansion where the Fleets will have to go to the Oceans. Once it's set. Monsters like Lagiacrus and other Aquatic Monsters (Ludroth, R. Ludroth, Gobul...) are able to return. On what I gather, Nakarkos likes to hunt and eat Lagiacrus.
Some extra facts about Nakarkos: 1) Nakarkos is a glutton like Deviljho, but unlike the pickle, it doesn't have super-fast metabolism. It just loves to pig out. It will even deliberately leave certain treats closer to its home for later. 2) Nakarkos' use of monster parts as weapons indicates a very high degree of intelligence - no surprise, since the octopus that inspired it is the brainiest of all invertebrates, and are among the smartest non-human animals of all. It knows exactly how its prey uses its parts, and uses them for the same purpose - it spreads slime with the Brachydios arm, creates electric fields with the Lagiacrus back, shakes the ground with the Uragaan jaw, and generates infernos with the Glavenus tail. No doubt it could pull off other attacks with other monster parts if the devs had wanted to program them in. 3) Nakarkos is the only elder dragon that can be affected by Sonic Bombs and Tranq Bombs. When it starts using other monster parts but is not enraged, you can lob a Sonic Bomb in its face and startle it - this will make it accidentally hit itself with the part, instantly breaking it and dealing damage to his main shell. Meanwhile, if it goes into its "Dragon mode" but is not enraged, you can lob Tranq Bombs in its face to stop it from abusing its Dragon beams. 4) G-Rank Nakarkos cannot be slain until it uses its ultimate Dragon beam at least once. If you deal enough damage to kill it before it has done so, it will stay at 1 HP and stop taking damage until it uses the beam. 5) Nakarkos Soul Orbs and Nakakaros SecretSoul Orbs are among the easiest of the "super-rare drops" to get. You have a roughly 15% chance of getting a Soul Orb by mining High Rank Nakarkos' special body gather spot, while G-Rank Nakarkos has a 16% chance of forking over a Soul Orb and a 15% chance of a SecretSoul Orb when mining that spot as well.
Probably a bit late, but you attack his arms until the smog around his face goes away. When it's gone, attack his beak to make him fall over. You can climb him and mine his shell or attack his rainbow spot
@@gamingwizard1027 I've been able to knock him down even despite attacking the tentacles exclusively, but I'd imagine he'd fall over a lot more often if I were beating on his face.
Can't believe some idiots think a Nergi could kill this boi with one good hit. He tanks hits from a creature that almost sank an island, and you think a puny dive bomb can put Nakarkos down. Last time I checked, Nergi can't cause earthquakes, Nakarkos would wreck Nergi
@@kirbykirby6136 If we're going by that logic, Akantor and Ukanlos are both unable to be captured, are they Elder Dragons too? In the Hunter's notes, Ahtal-Ka is given the Neopteron classification. Monster Hunter is weird like that though, technically Deviljho, Gore Magala, Bazelgeuse, and even Rajang are considered Elder Dragon Level threats due to their effect on local ecology, but they are not Elder Dragons (Gore Magala might be an oddball since it eventually becomes one, but it is in that weird place in classification).
Monster Hunter World being the first Monster Hunter game I played I love it can't put it down watching these videos and knowing all the quality of life things they took out still looks twice as amazing I shouldn't say it's things they took out it's just things they added in Monster Hunter world
Sorry to tell you this bud, but this is not how monster hunter normally is. Only generations. Every other MH is literally inferior in gameplay except difficulty.
yian kut ku head, arm and chest, yian garuga waist and probably ratholos leg, it's still high rank so i'd rather not care about armor skill much until later in G rank
it always ticks me off when i see players that keeps attacking even when the weapon sharpness become yellow, i mean, i can understand if it fall down from blue to green or from white to blue, but from green to yellow and you still attacking?
A cuttlefish elder dragon who wear the skull of other monster on its tentacle to do a special attack based on what monster skull it is wearing for example wearing uragaan chin allows it to do tremor chin slam just like uragaan, it has 2 tentacles which means it can wear 2 different skull at the same time
Because of its power. Without mentioning his death lazer, all the area around it turns disco alongside itself when it gets angry. An elder dragon is know for its ability to generate crazy environmental changes with ease.
I was curious since Generation appearence. When we hit Nakarkos it bleed blue blood, Carapaceons will bleed blue when we hit them. Does this mean, Nakarkos is a Carapaceon evolved to an Elder Dragon?
Ehhh... "Elder Dragon" is just sort of a catch-all term for dangerous, weird monsters. Kirin and Narkky here are nowhere near draconian, but since both of them are so rare and dangerous, they can only be considered an Elder Dragon.
@@obsidironpumicia4074 The Raging is a variant And Monsters are based on the Normal Not the Variants Since normal brachydios is not elder dragon, the Variants Will Not be elder dragon
@@applenetwork6542 ...It has an organ called an Immortal Reactor. And, so sayeth the lore, due to the explosive slime achieving perfect symbiosis with the Brachydios, he has essentially gained immortality.
There should be a separate classification with Cephalopod monsters, like tentacle wyvern or something Edit: yeah idk what 1 year ago me was thinking, literally calling them cephalopods would be better
@@xX_wiLLiam_Xx Anything reptilian is classified as wyvern in the game. Non-reptilians are never called wyverns, as in descendants of dragons. Carapaceons are an example, which would be closer in relation to Nakarkos.
Spooky scary skeleton squid send shivers down your spine He'll take your bones and armor and say "it's mine" Dragon element lazers and using skulls as weapons Most people ask when. does it end ITS NAKARKOS.. NAKARKOS the skeleton squid He's a hard monster I bet you'll kid NAKARKOS NAKARKOS the calcium crusader an oceanic terror He comes on land and he plans to take a stand Ribs and skulls are his passions Talk smack to him and you'll be another one of his fashions Da Da Da Likes are apreciated
Nobody is gonna acknowledge the fact that he is fighting a Nakarkos with a green sharpness long sword? And killed him in 13 mins. Whats the name of the long sword anyway?
No. How would a whale turn into a squid? Lemme tell you some lore. The baby ceadeus (the white one in MH3U) is prey for Narkarkos. Goldbeard ceadeus (the adult form of ceadeus) preys on Narkarkos
Ah yes Capcom trolling and denying you of the game's lore escalation by making you think that this is some type of high fantasy dragon but, they said NOPE... And saying Nakarkos only uses the bones/corpses a dead wyverns as an armor.... Heh.
+Just an ordinary Chameleos Yes actually. Narkarkos absolutely fear adult Ceadus but have no problem hunting pups. Like Killer whales, they will hunt the babies but back the fuck up once they see an adult come into the frame
This could have been a good elder dragon for the rotten vale even though vaal hazak is already in rotten vale. This also could have been a great turf war for odogaron and other monster and also a good final boss fight in rotten vale
Nah, Nakarkos was a good monster design, but it had a bad fight. Too easy for its rank, and really boring. The armor, although cool looking, had a bad mix of skills,
It looks cool and has a cool theme but it's gotta be the most boring fight in the game. It's impossible to die once you know it's attacks and it becomes a game of waiting for it to let it hit it's bone covered tentacles.
Wait a minute....this is not the highrank nakarkos, its the low rank 3 star nakarkos. thats why you could repel it in 13 mins. why do you even need other players to help on that quest. you can just solo it.
