100% agree, as a fan all the way from the PS2 title I remember playing the PSP freedom with friends back in the day having a conversation about how this game should have way more public lime light and it's absolutely amazing to see how far it's come.
MH4U was my introduction. My dad had gotten himself, me, and my older sister a 3DS each. We were trying out games and he came across MH4U. We shared one copy originally but after we found out how much we liked it we each got a copy. Those were the days and it was so much fun.
its so crazy, when i was 10 playing Freedom Unite on my PSP I was always hoping my favorite game series of all time would become popular and now my dream has come true :,)
Started with Freedom Unite on psp back in the day secretly hoping that some day my favorite serie of all time would peak, as it deserves. And here we are. What a ride.
I remember being the only kid at elementary school having a psp and playing monster Hunter freedom 1, while all the other kids were playing Pokémon and such. Monster Hunter really came from humble beginnings to now! Long live Monster Hunter!
No doubt the next main Monster Hunter will be better and huge, because they have always been.At this rate it’s guaranteed 40M+ sales, probably 20M the first month.
@@masyan3457 it took them what 6 games and scraping their engine to realize they’re not as good as they used to be dating back to ff13. that’s 10+ years of riding the ff7 and 10 high.
I could see them doing that, but probably not quite the same way. Since, to me, Wilds looks like the first expedition into completely unknown lands kind of deal. So I could imagine them having us run into NPC hunters out in the wilderness that we do side quests with and hunt alongside them for those quests. Then at the end of their quest lines they join whatever kind of homebase area we have and we can then ask them to join us anytime to go on quests.
A well earned milestone, the MH series is so damned good & does great by its fans. My introduction to the series was MH4U on 3DS. I'm currently grinding out on Rise & a little bit with World. And Wilds will be a showstopper!
World is one of the best games I’ve ever played. It gave me the same feeling I got playing Monster Hunter on the PS1 for the first time. I’m very excited for Wilds, and I hope it’s just World with bigger spaces.
I tell my friends this over and over again, but they should add a boomerang/ shuriken type weapon kinda like Yuffie from FF7. A ranged but also melee type weapon with acrobatic or more agile movements.
Like most people MHW was my introduction to the series. It's still my most played game on steam, with 264 more hours than the 2nd most played, Deep Rock Galactic. I've never hit a game that hard and I likely won't again. I liked Rise but only wound up playing it for slightly over 100 hours and bought but never started sunbreak.
@@DRAG0NSPIRIT10 Much better build options. My beloved SnS is at its best in Sunbreak. The monster selection is much better. I don't fight the same type of monsters over and over again. Amatsu is fantastic. And so is the Gore family. I love them, all of them, even tough Risen Shagaru is one ugly fight. Regular Shagaru is a fun fight for me. Just to mention a few.
@@rechelieu That's fair :). I've certainly had fun in Sunbreak building some crazy damage with my Kinsect and the blast explosion move (via skills). It is also really cool to see some of the ol boys being brought into the modern gen. Still hoping Gammoth will get the same live one day.
Generations was so damned good! I liked the feel of just being the village hunter for the wii-U version though, it felt better than just the "American army" approach that World used.
How about the tanfa for a weapon a short medium ranged weapon but is blunt but really fast kind of like the dual blades You would now have an option for more blunt attacks maybe even a blocking mechanic for the tanfa😊
Hey guys I am looking for a MH game for pc that I can play Coop with my lil bro, which MH game would you recommend? Best case would be a MH where you can play (almost) the whole game in coop, I dont really want to play it alone. Thanks :)
I can see this as both a good and bad thing. Good that the company is now fully investing into MH to where better experiences can be made that would please fans; And various other content from other media we'll enjoy. But also the Bad where the fact due to its massive success, that typical capitalistic tendencies of trying to appeal to wider and wider audiences to eventually consider the lowest common denominator. (simplifying, core changes, more common investor interference, etc.) All for the sake of chasing profit. Which given how that has turned out with the AAA industry the past decade.....yea im pretty hesitant. So i'm cautiously optimistic right now, but how will they handle MH proceeding into 6th gen will be tht determining factor on where the franchise is heading; For better or worse.
