Not just any mushrooms, but mushrooms from the planet Malchior 7! Where the mushrooms are three-hundred feet tall and breathe fire! From these mushrooms this meal was forged 2000 years ago! Using ancient blood rituals of the Malchior people! Not only does this meal make me nigh indestructible, but it lets me bend the fabric of the universe itself! Also, it's a very fine fungus - very tasty
Guys let's be honest, how many of us know the sound so perfectly that we do an emote or sleep in the camp right before the "Quest clear" text appears and it's so satisfying when you nail it.
Beat Fatalis solo today and hearing the very first quest clear theme play after so long made me feel like we’ve gone full circle. Made me tear up a bit, well played Capcom.
I love Monster Hunter. Always have, always will. I’ve been on this crazy ride since I borrowed the original PS2 game from a friend’s friend, haha. Somehow I wound up keeping that copy, which prompted me and all of my friends to play it together almost everyday. We even had the PS2 internet adaptors that let us play online with other people... great times. I just completed the Iceborne Fatalis assignment a few hours ago and these are all the things that the original victory theme made me think of.
Somehow EVERY SINGLE theme manages to both be epic when you finish THAT hunt against your nemesis elder dragon AND sarcastic as hell when you deliver 15 choice mushrooms.
Man, the Tri theme is a real blast from the past for me. I played 3 Ultimate for years before I finally moved on to 4 Ultimate, so this one is practically ingrained in my mind even after all this time
Same with me. I just replayed the first section of the game hundreds of times, as I was unable to get past the Qurupeco. Though I did watch my Mum complete the game, as unlike me, she was actually good at it. Nonetheless, I agree, brings back so much nostalgia.
Thanks for this. It was a nice trip down memory lane. Monster Hunter Tri was my first online Monster Hunter experience, so hearing that ost was especially nice 😄
MHGU was my first time hunting an Amatsu, and something about seeing the sun start to shine through the clouds as that beautiful quest clear jingle started was just So perfect. Had to say I was pleasantly surprised when I started Portable 3rd the other day and found out it was a remix of the game's normal quest clear jingle. looking forward to facing off with it again in both 3P and Sunbreak.
First is a classic that I’ll never forget from when my friends in high school first introduced me to Monster Hunter with Freedom Unite. Since then, I’ve played 4U, Gen, and World, and it’s honestly tough to pick a favorite theme. Each brings back memories. Can’t wait to hear the next theme in Rise!
@@BlackM0ngoose a screenshot from a website that someone posted it in my regional MH group. It said that Capcom got ransomwared. I forgot how much money demanded but capcom didn't pay it, so the data that capcom had for future game got leaked to the public and one of the info is MH Rise is coming to PC.
Technically it said they were considering it, NOT certain of it. And personally I hope it doesn’t, PC gamers should live with the same wait for World’s successor as Sony/Microsoft’s will. But anyway, demo’s out and the clear theme is beautiful!
@@himalayas5908 A Greatsword build where you use the skills crit draw (to guarantee a crit from a draw attack), quick sheath, crit boost, and frostcraft (Iceborne only). Crit boost helps up the damage of your guaranteed crits. Punishing draw is also great if it can fit to make draw attacks stun. It leads to a very simple hit and run playstyle where you find an opening, get a level 3 charge in (which does loads of damage from the guaranteed crit), sheath, and run off. I don't know in what game crit boost and punishing draw started but the crit draw playstyle has been around a long time from the existence crit draw alone. It kind of fell out of use in World with TCS but came back in Iceborne from frostcraft and other buffs.
Such a fantastic game. Community too. I feel like people lost their balls somewhere between that game and World. I could be in rooms with the same people trying to beat a 140 Teo with wipe after wipe after wipe. You don't meet many players like that anymore, they all just wanna get in and get it done immediately or peace out when it gets too tough. There also wasn't so much hate for people still learning and making mistakes.
@@apanst I feel like players have changed in mhgen and mhxx... They actually did want to learn in mh4u, we helped each other, we didnt treat each other like crap because they did mistakes. Chat was a thing, when other games were released, nobody talked to each other, or just a bit. They do not want to learn, some dont care about their set, they don't learn. Last thing, I noticed some people do not even read the hub description! They just join and leave if it's not what they WANT even if you couldn't be more specific! I just hope the community goes back to what it used to be in Rise cause honestly, I'm disappointed...
@@mahakimukano4536 I got hard carried in 4U, I have to admit, but then I said to myself I had to learn. Tigerstripe Zamtrios was the monster that taught me about attack patterns, now I know all of this advanced shit. But my god was I bad at Charge Blade. I didn't even know Guard Points were a thing until G2.
@@arzr_er Charge blade was my first weapon but I did learn about guard points pretty late. I ended up soloing every monster before stopping. I miss mh4u so much..... Waiiiit, Tigerstripe?! I love zamtrios but I always thought this one was cancer.
@@mahakimukano4536 I went from hating his guts to absolutely loving it. It had a simple pattern and an even simpler tactic. Just wait for him to deflste, then hard punish
I started with 4U and even then it was nostalgic, I imagine for MH1 veterans to hear that theme after finally beating Fatalis it had to make a couple grown men weep
It's kinda interesting that MH1/F2/FU and World's are the most similar to each other. Starting with the brass and then going into a calm version their respective themes with the sort of marching percussion in the background. A lot of them have a more flowing and beautiful theme but these two are much more subdued
MH1 and MHFU uses proof of hero motif for quest clear. All of the other games use their respective themes. World uses it as well. At least i can't anything else. Except for the special quest clears - they all use respective motifs.
MH1 - The Original, and Most Badass MH2 - Western Tears MH3 - Most Serene and Beautiful MHP3rd - Very Japanese MHP3rd Amatsu Victory - Better than MHP3rd MH4 - Most Adventurous MHG - God I Miss the Meowstress MHW - low energy, kinda lame MHW Special Victory - Most Grand MHWI Special Victory - Orchestral Bliss
This is a very late response, but I personally prefere the calm and just overall light victory music of MHW. It really fits fighting a challenging, but not too challenging monster(like anjanath), to then finaly defeat it. It's almost like an optimistic sigh of relief, not something big and grand, which is probably why the other victory themes for world and iceborne exist.
@Doggo Boi well it is weird but that doesnt mean is bad. I mean is not like the final boss of mhw that is illogical. The dogs could be a great addition to the game but i would prefer ride an aptonoth xD
I started with generations and anytime I hear the victory theme I start to get a bit emotional, sure it might not be the most bombastic “we just killed a dragon god” theme but it still has a sense of victory and that your gonna be able to return to your home town and see all your friends again.
Comp Guy Oh, yeah, that is what I meant. My comment ended up phrased that way because I only made the connection a few quests after I got done fighting Dalamadur, so in my head I went “hey this sounds like a Dalamadur’s theme” not “hey, Dalamadur’s theme uses this song!” Either way, love the leitmotif and the way it’s used in both quests!
The classic Gen 1 quest clear is still among the best. And after 8 years of playing MHP3rd I just realized that the quest clear is Yukumo Village theme in disguise... Edit: I'm also noticed MHG is also has Bherna Village theme in it too, guess its tradition then.
From what I've heard it's usually either the village theme or the game's main theme. Tri and 4 are both the main themes of the games, as well as all 3 MHW themes
MHW -> MHW:I are the songs I know (I started in 2014 *Freedom Unite Mobile days + Portable 3rd* but never listened much of the OSTS) MHW : Proof of a Hero + Proof of a Hero (Elder Dragon Theme) MHWI : Songs of Triumph in the Winter Sky
Stuff like finally beating Alatreon or Gogmazios, carving them and finally breathing the deepest sigh of relief while listening to the victory theme is an almost unmatched feeling.
2:26 6:39 8:16 All of these themes above hit different, maybe for me because they were the first ever monster hunter games I played (First playing monster hunter 4-Ultimate at about 7 years old) it just made me want to cry
I’ve just discovered today that there was a Monster Hunter Portable 3rd for the PSP, so I had to play it! I fell in love with the victory song! I just defeat the monster and let the time run out just so I can hear it on loop!
I'll just never be grateful enough to that friend of mine who just gave me MHF2 back in 2009... It's been over 10 beautiful years being a hunter tho I never got the chance to play some of them, I still hold dear in my heart all the monster, quest clear, maps and other themes. I just hope Capcom releases some remaster editions for FU, 3U and 4U for Switch at least just so we can all have the best experience of the old school games this magnificent saga offered us.
i never played tri but wth man it felt so freaking nostalgic the first time i heard it is when i watched a video about alatreon hunt and it immediately felt nostalgic then i read the comments and they all said omg mh tri quest complete theme is so nostalgic
Honestly, 2dos is probably the one I find myself humming the most when I hear it. All the others feel very samey because of the proof of a hero leitmotif.
Something that just gives us that rush of satisfaction when killing a monster are these themes They all just make you really know that you have done it, you have winned, regardless of the monster Even killing an Great Jaggi feels epic!
I was pretty awful at 3U and barely played it but I still bought 4U because I thought the game was pretty cool. I never even made it out of low rank in 4U but man, that victory theme hits like a ton of bricks. Can't imagine how it feels for people who put 100s of hours into it.
