How does last year's Monster Hunter look after make the leap from Switch hardware to PC? Here's 10 Minutes of PC Gameplay so you can see for yourself! The PC version is running at 1080p at max graphical settings with only film grain, motion blur, and lens distortion turned off since those aren't technically quality settings, just personal preference.
The PC version of Monster Hunter Rise includes ultrawide support and a higher framerate. It also boasts all the Monster Hunter Rise DLC that came out post-release for the Nintendo Switch version in the lead-up to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The 60fps boost is a big deal for Monster Hunter Rise since it moves so quickly.

200+FPS on my 2k165 monitor with max settings and 150% image quality, a night and day difference than on Switch. Haven't touched the Switch version since the PC demo was out. Glad we could finally enjoy this game the way it is supposed to be experienced.

@Some its not a matter of the game platform. It's the save progress that doesn't carry over from switch. Or better yet, make the save truly cross save so you can swap between devices.

It depends on what kind of experience you are looking for. Want something fast paced, full of action? Get Rise. Want something a little slower paced with better environmental interactions? Get world. Both are amazing games in their own right. I'd advise getting both personally 🤷‍♂️

@@CumeronThomas No it's not a dumb decision. If you had any brain cells left you'd see that this game had the intention of catering back to their japanese audience which is more into portable gaming. World was a huge success for us the western audience but considered a fail for the home audience.

I've always thought that this game was a major downgrade from the scale and graphical fidelity of Monster Hunter World (especially as someone who was introduced to the series at MHW). Really kind of a shame :/. Fun game though, still ended up playing through the main storyline.
