Sorry but I'm confused, the chanaller's headpiece's skills don't seem to include the skills of the mask in the video It shows-.... Speak of the devil, I just realized that theres so much skills, to the point where there are two pages lmfaooo! XD Sorryyyy
Piercing bind actually has a secondary combo you can do that allows it to get in quite a bit of damage when out of stamina. If you use demon blade dance as you are running out of stamina (such as when a monster is downed and you don't want to lose damage) you can use piercing bind right as the dance ends, and then can use an A jump into aerial mode for a transition to either the downward attack move into the spin attack or directly into the attack on titan spin. It doesn't do as much damage as a bind into demon dance, but it does allow you to maintain damage when you would have to take a few seconds to regen stamina and holds off on the exiting animation if you don't/can't combo for the exit demon mode attack. I mention this because if you bind when low on stam it will force you out before you can start the blade dance and thus costs about 3 seconds of the bind's damage window due to the exit animation lag time before you can attack.
Dunno if anyone had mentioned that here, but Demon Flight actually has some i-frames on its upward movement after hitting the monster, so if you can time it correctly, you can actually dodge some attacks with it
@@braldoca Yeah I'm super torn about it, love having the A attack to just be the spinning dash, it is such a good move to keep on the monsters consistently On the other hand I think I'm just way too used to it from World. I would use that fucking move like crazy because it was basically a dodge attack, but that's now what feral demon form is. Idk, I could go either way. Trying to just get used to it at the moment. It's fun as hell to have aerial options, though, that's for sure.
thank you so much for this build, its doing so much more damage than my 80% affinity raw damage build (almost double) and in that build i have max attack up and crit eye and all the damage skills i could fit in although one thing id recommend is swapping out to rampage twinblades for one or all of your elements, because through ramp up you can achieve base 30 in 2 elements at once (or you could add poison blast or sleep) which after lvl 5 element attack bonuses is 40, the highest ive found in high rank for elemental damage DB and as a bonus of swapping to rampage twinblades you wont need handicraft to get white sharpness, just choose sharpness IV for your first ramp up, then use protective polish or other sharpness saving effects
From Nioh 2's dual swords to MHR dual blades. A weeb gotta weeb. Thanks a lot as always, Cowboy. Mained DB in world but DB in Rise is so different, not really sure what I have been doing so far. This was extremely helpful. The tool tip said nothing about the 15% damage increase for arc demon mode.
Haha holy shit, I've been using the ds1 playthrough on this channel and decided to take a break and start mhr and now I'm back here. That's crazy, what a great channel
I main Khezu Skards and I love getting paralysis off, Feral Demon dodging in, Piercing Bind, Flurry Rush, few more hits of a combo, it's really fun, Plus I have evade extender 3 and leap of faith to negate the shorter dash distance of feral demon mode
Dash juice is great, but unless you're going for speed run times it becomes a pain to keep up with the ingredients, you basically need to dedicate your argosy to become a dash juice factory.
Just use a cat with Go,fight, win. No need to farm for dash juice and the cat uses the skill a lot of times during a hunt. Also, dash juices are quite easier to get in Rise. Just farm kamura points and buy them from Rondine, which usually sells 10 dash juices every after hunt.
don't be lazy, take the 5 extra seconds to grab the endemic life that gives a dash juice effect. I main bow and db and I grab them constantly and can't think of the name rn go figure. But they're like a cluster of yellow moths. they and an extra wirebug are in just about every area in the game you can possible find a monster. also cats with go fight win for the win.
I have actually had a good bit of fun using the Tigrex dual blades for fun with just pure raw and brutal strike on the ramp up. They really tear through a target.
Pretty nice to see an element build for a change, I personally use naraga db with attack boost lv.5 evade window lv5 flinch free level 3 critical eye level 2 critical boost level 2 latent power level 1 and evade extender level 2. Extender can be traded for attack 7 but I like moving fast behind the monster.
Great video cowboy, I’m a noob when it comes to all video games in general. But I wanted to ask why your first build doesn’t have any stamina boosting skills?
@FightinCowboy I thought I should mention that in archdemon mode after doing X + A you don't need to do it two more times you only need to press X twice instead which makes it much easier.
So crit element hybrid builds are better than just crit focused? Also what would you suggest for trying to fit things like marathon runner and constitution into the build? While damage seems to be the main focus here is there a way to effectively fit those utility skills into a build while keeping most of your damage? Because I feel marathon runner/constitution are very helpful for keeping yourself in demon mode for longer and using less stamina overall allowing you to utilize demon mode even more? Hope this isn't asking too many questions but anyone's thoughts especially cowboys would be appreciated.
Question from one year later: Any particular reason to stay away from Rampage DBs, given you didn't use them in any of the builds? Or was that just an issue of not wanting to make a bunch of those?
I was trying to farm rajang coins in the Arena but they did not have my main weapon (bow) so I ended up using dual blades. I went all in without knowledge of the weapon (failed once), I started enjoying this weapon after a few tries. With that dango dual blade, and this video made me decided to 3rd main this weapon for fun.
Felyne duel blades are easily my favorite helian mode breaks the game and makes me feel like I'm borderline cheating and with paralysis too I feel unstoppable!
I used some of the skills you used, but I focused on Stamina surge and I also went for a pyralasis build. But in order to do so I had to use two volvidon pieces. Would be helpful if you could make one some day. : )
Thanks for this. So you think the handicraft and protective polish will be better than this? What should I switch out for handicraft and protective polish besides razor sharp?
Blast is decent on lots of weapons but I don't think it's better than element on dual blades, also our blast choices are limited to magnemolo at the moment and that's it so there's not a lot of variety there
@@nogo8130 if your blast dual blades are doing more damage than a matching element then you have a weak build. Ive used them with full attack boost 7, crit boost, and blast attack 3 and they dont even come close to the same damage as a standard elemental build when using a monsters weakness. the only exception is monsters like mizutsune and zinogre who are actually not very weak to any element and raw works better on them.
Made a build with just really good stamina and crit the zingore mixed with rajang. Got lucky with talismans so was able to get crit filled with good buffs going towards stamina and stamina depletion
Loving evade extender for dual blades and bow but it is difficult to fit in to most builds without some god charm as it's a level 2 deco. It's fun though so for the most part I use level 3 at the expense of some dps.
Hi i have a protective polish lv2 +lv2 slot tailsman. I will go with that. And so because of it i dont need the chest piece for razor sharp. What do u recommend for chest?
I was wondering how to unlock access to some of the Decorations. I was looking to make a magazine jewel and I don't have the option to craft it. Is there a quest I'm missing somewhere that opens that up?
If you are already HR7, you are probably missing a material. Look at the required materials and make sure you've acquired them before. This happened to me with the Constitution jewel because I skipped the Volvi high rank quest because I hate that monster haha.
Pretty sure I mentioned it at the start but it is as long as a monster is weak to element if something has shitty elemental hit zones you're better off stacking attack
There's a couple of new value pieces, also with new decos getting protective polish lv 3 is easier so going for the white sharpness weapons is a safer bet now.
My build at the moment is DB. is crit eye7, WEX 3,crit elemental 3, attack boost 2 and element 5. I have a wex 1no slots talisman at the moment. Waiting for a wex 2 one before I try the handicraft one but I might try this one
@@FightinCowboy true just critting 90% of the time rather than 85% or 75% of the time just means more dmg output in general personally for me if i make a crit element set i go for crit eye 7 and wex 3 for that juicy 90% when landing weakpoints think thats why i like about rise it seems like its a tad bit more diverse when making your builds thanks to RNG charms
@@themadham4836 ahhh the pain and suffering of wanting a specific charm doesn't it give you joy 😅 I'm in the same boat i did get a crit element lvl2 charm with a level 2 slot which basically sorts out my crit element but it seems I'd have to sacrifice razor sharp to get crit eye 7 xD
Wait up. Isnt daybreak daggers overall siperior from twin flames? I thought it was wierd that its both 190 + 25 fire but daybreak has a 2 slot and twin flames is slotless
@@FightinCowboy Right but it's low starting element puts it below Daybreak. Even when hitting a element weakspot, the element from Twin maxes at 44, where Daybreak maxes at 41, and that works anywhere. And both are below Anjanath actually just because the raw is so nuts on that and atk boost 4+ working on percentages now means it synergizes great with high raw weapons like Anja DB.
@@KugutsuYushiro If you're running Daybreak you have to be running Handicraft to get it to white for it's value to show as it has 1/2 the natural blue that Twin Flames have. Like I said at the start, these are comfy builds. Twin Flames is plenty viable to run with razorsharp 3 and not worry about sharpness, Daybreak is only really going to shine under a handicraft/protective polish setup and personally I'm not a fan of that playstyle, especially since item prolonger no longer buffs PP as it did in Iceborne.
Can you tell me how to get fortis like wtf, i already beat the last boss, yet there’re like still 2 ? In my weapon crafting, one if them is fortis the only thing i didnt do yet is the arena quest since i keep failing em
For sure. A lot people still playing them while waiting for Rise PC adaptation I think. You can get a good feel for Rise even playing World, since the mechanics are quite similar, Rise is just a bit more fast paced. I would whole heartedly recommend World if you still haven't played it.
I can't unlock the dragon weapon showed in this video for some reason. I have all the materials but the game says I can't even see the weapon. Is my game broken or am I missing something?
It's either Altair which is a subquest to capture a rathalos or the ibushi blades ibushi didn't appear till very later for me so fight him a couple of times until you get a part that unlocks it
Sorry to bother you again but how do I unlock it? Imade the utsushi quests and I crafted more than 8 weapons. Quest wise I finished Village and urgent Quest up to teostra
Do you happen to have any builds for DB that is basically a progression guide? I don’t know whether to go crit eye or raw up until I’m able to build this particular build.
My personal recommendation while building would be element 5 > weakness exploit > attack or crit element. The alecuath set is actually a decent starter crit element set until you have the parts to build something more dedicated like these
For fire DB, I noticed the aknosom dbs have the exact same stats as the rathalos db, but with an extra lv2 slot. Why did you go with rath db here instead?
Comfy = sets that require minimal upkeep. Something like this where it's just element, crit, and razor sharp means just whack away and that's it. No worries about protective polish or needing any crazy charms, etc.
true crit element is not the same as critical element in world and iceborne true critical element and critical element where different skills true crit element give 70% boost while critcal element gave less
Pointless video for me, dont have half the armor and no idea what monsters they come from. Great video for ppl that have all the armor and dont need to figure out where the parts come from
Haven't seen the comment yet but if you have a weakness exploit talisman and not a razor sharp one you can equip it and use the almudron boots that give 1 points in razor sharp also comes with a level 3 and level 1 deco slots. @FightinCowboy if you want to pin it that is what i found can work for a different talisman set up.
Early game, completely agree. But brace is only a level 1 slot in this game, so it's so much easier to spec in than it was in world (being a lvl 3 jewel) which is why everyone should always have 1 in during mp hunts... Lol, also long sword and dbs are nothing compared to the trip hazard known as the hunting horn. It's outrageous in this game.
@@propheticrain-maker1486 He most likely isnt I see quite a few folks claiming this is a lesser mhw and blah blah But the arguments are usually that the graphics "suck" and comparing mhw post dlc monster roster with the current mh rise one 🤦
@@propheticrain-maker1486 sadly from what I have seen there are a few people who act like MHW was the first Monster Hunter. They fail to realize rise was in production alongside world, and borrows more heavily from GU in terms of innovation than from world. Also large and small monster counts for base rise are greater than base world. It is unfortunately the world we live in.
A whole lotta people who started with World are spec elitist idiots who act entitled to a franchise they only began to support recently, for all the wrong reasons. I’m grateful to those who started with World and then realized the rest of the series is pretty great too.
