200 hours in Sunbreak? Hell no. Master Rank always takes WAY more time then base game. I spent 400 in base world, but even after 1000 hours in Iceborne alone I still haven't gotten all the camera stuff or done all the treasure hunting.

I tried some switch skills in the demo. I used the skills I usually use on the red scroll (being the default loadout when you start the quest) and used it for the majority of the time. Switching is really fun and easy but not necessary imo. It just helps when you wanna mix up the gameplay a little. In the demo I often only switched up one skill I didn't wanna miss out on. It was less a case of playing optimally but more like "now let's try out the new stuff". After that it was back to the default for me and it didn't feel like a limitation.

You just need to get Monster Hunter Rise in order to access Sunbreak. Rise is the base game and Sunbreak is like an addition to it.

You should be able to buy sunbreak and rise together as the complete version of the game I think it will say rise + sunbreak

I also have the same question. I haven't bought Rise and planning to get Sunbreak on PC (steam). Is there a bundled version as in base+expansion in one version? Or do i need to buy MHRise base, and Sunbreak expansion separately?

Sunbreak its almost a new game, its a massive DLC. Just like Monster Hunter World and Iceborne

@@vicentemunoz9466 I didnt know that, I thought you needed World first in order to play Iceborne. Apparently is not the case then for Sunbreak, not that I know of

You can but you can only join high rank quests like usual or rather, they can join your high rank quests. Even if you don't buy the expansion you'll still get the 13gb update for the game. You'll need to be able to see the new armor sets and weapons.

@@mizutsunesbubbles its not about hunting monsters with big weapons. What the hell have you been playing? How dose allowing a secondary weapon make it Not Monster Hunter. Oh forget it gatekeepers in this franchise will always hate on any change. But don’t worry this is a pie in the sky idea it wont actually happen. But can’t wait to see the complaints if it ever did from the old guard. And before you accuse me of ruining MH with all the other newbies i have played every monster hunter released in the west hell i started with the first on the ps2. If change wasn’t allowed to happen we would still be controlling our weapons with the second stick.

I mean be a Debby downer if you want my guy, but them being quiet about it doesn't mean they won't address the issue. Thats not to say they will definitely do something, but I think its a bit far to say its not happening for sure XD

@@sirusblack2789 I’d be surprised at this point, just like World never came to Switch etc…I imagine they’ll do Sunbreak and then in a couple of years there will be another game on PS5 the Xbox series and PC

This was in development for switch during MH World's development. Pc port was kinda a last minute decision before base rise launch. I'm sure MH 6 will be for ps5/ps4, XSS/XSX, and PC.

Because they chose a diffrent system for their next game. That's all. Im sure the next one will be on ps5 and Xbox 1

Personally I wish gunner sets were still a thing but honestly can you really blame them for moving on from that, it is kinda weird and doesn’t belong in a modern entry. Maybe if half the weapons were gunner it’d make more sense but with only 3 it’s weird to split them like that. Only reason 2 sets stayed for world was to give a buffer to the absurd deco grind and give you options if unable to get certain decos. With craftable decos there’s no reason to have a less efficient version of a set, thus there is only a need for one set. The MH devs hardly have a reputation of not wanting to put in effort, if there was a valid reason for 2 versions of sets I’m sure they would’ve done it.

@@buttersidedown5905 they could have still given us a layered armor set for the alternate appearances at least. They've gone the extra mile in older games. For example in monster hunter 4, you could trade MH4 materials to craft armor from MH3. So while those MH3 monsters weren't in the game, we still got their armor sets. In Rise all those cowboy looking sets are gone forever. And about their reputation, I used to agree with you and defend them all the time. But looking at how they monetized Rise and putting out paid DLC after paid DLC and putting layered armor in the cash shop while our event quests have been mostly trash, I've lost almost all the respect I used to have for them

That’s how it’s always been. World was the exception. Hopefully they do bring that system to craft armor from monsters that aren’t in the game

@@ashfields9273 dlc has always been paid lmao. Capcom is a business. Plus all layered armor is cosmetic and does not have any impact on the gameplay

@@mizutsunesbubbles Yes crafting old armor sets was unique to MH4. But only having one armor set per monster has NEVER been the norm. Rise is the exception
