I can't wait for the release of the sequel! I love how they are giving bows and bowguns and have such an awesome art style and most importantly, voice acting~ I only hope that unlike with the original MHST that they don't make online interactions necessary to get things like Glavenus eggs or Link clothes~ This theme and Hakum Village's are my favorites from this game~
I only recently started playing it, and we gotta admit MHS had a lot going against it. I tried the mainline Monster Hunter games and they weren't for me. The outreach, for non-MH fans, was not effective- I never heard anything about it being a turn-based RPG. If I had known, I absolutely would have tried it. And it was released at a time in the 3DS lifespan when people no longer had faith it would churn out new games with Switch just around the corner. That is all a shame because, now that I've been playing it, I LOVE MHS. Before MHS2, I would've told people MHS is one of the reasons to own a DS-family system, alongside games like TWEWY or Radiant Historia.
@@Klee15 From free demo's, I really liked the Bravely series, the Alliance Alive, Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology, and MHST. The problem was that I played the Monster Hunter Generation Something demo first and gave up on the whole series thinking that the artwork was too ugly/pervy and that the gameplay was so complicated. It wasn't until I grew bored again that I decided to watch "Best 3ds Games" videos, download MHST's demo, and like it enough to get the game second--hand and fortunately before the pandemic inflation. (I'm still trying to get a used, decently--priced DQ 8 and original Bravely Default). I feel like Cap Com had given up on the non--Japanese versions, as well. As a lot of the advertisement trailers for MHST2 were showing, I kept spamming Nintendo, Capcom USA, and Monster Hunter's channels' comments sections with requests to retroactively do fans a favor by adding DLC to make available in the non--Japanese versions, the monsties, like Teostra, Kushala Daora, Rajang, and Kumamon. But, as expected, all of my comments have led to nothing lol. As to the current game, at least, I think CapCom's advertisers could really exploit the dissatisfaction with Pokemon games to show off their beautiful, voice--acted sequel~
@@baatarbeifong7869 They're very beautiful games, which was also unexpected. I have a prejudice that spinoff=trash, and this absolutely is not the case with MHS and MHS2. Capcom's attempt at a turn-based RPG spinoff is definitely much better than, say, SquareEnix's attempt at a MH-esque Final Fantasy game (ugh, Final Fantasy Explorers was so bad...).
The free demo was probably the best free demo I’ve ever experienced. They actually let you get invested into the story before they try to get you to buy it. I immediately bought the game without thinking after the demo. Luv you mhs
JRPG demos are straight up the best kind of demos. Since they lean so much on story and often have complex mechanics, they need enough time to get you invested in the former and experienced with the latter, to the point that you desperately want to keep going and buy the dang game.
