funny thing is i played the first one on my phone since it was 3 dollars at the time and I played the demo....and now days I'm playing rise I just started with mhgu on my switch and I also got mhs2 on the same day that I get mhgu. (wich is yesterday as I'm typing this)
Stories 2 was so charming, I played about 100 hours and enjoyed every second of it. Now that RNG decorations are basically confirmed for MHwilds and my hype for the game has completely died, I'll probably pick this up again for another playthrough
This is one of the best Creature Taming Adventure games out there, definitely out preforms Pokemon's recent few titles by a long shot. It is good that there are still people who play it, giving the recognition it deserves.
Stories is a great monster catching game, the tactical depth of it is actually pretty high the longer you get into the game with the harder fights especially endgame ones, the act of getting the monsters themselves could have been made a little quicker but overall its one of the best monster catching game in years by far, only a few games like monster sanctuary and coromon get close to it personally.
Gotta disagree. The stories games are probably my least favorite games I’ve ever played. Despite the charm, which is good. The gameplay is really slow and agonizing. And this comes from a guy who does really love jrpgs like Dragon Quest and the Persona and SMT series. Doesn’t help that the stories in both games suck booty cheeks. Navirou is the worst character in gaming. And I’ve dealt with Morgana Persona 5.
I agree they definetely could have upped the pacing of the combat since a lot of games that are like this are snappy, either way games not for everyone
Tbh i dunno how you find the gameplay that slow compared to other jrpgs, the 3x speed you get makes battles last less than a minute a lot of the time and you don't ever need to grind in those games outside of endgame which is pretty par for the course in these kind of games.
