I wouldn't mind having the follower system from Frontier become a permanent part of the series. I enjoyed hunting with the NPCs from Kamura and Elgado, so it would be fun doing it again.

I see a problem with having varying sized weapons, and that being transmog. I really liked in sunbreak being able to use the look of the weapon i liked, but still have the damage numbers of the base. I guess you could do it to where short weapons could only be transmogged between other short weapons, and same with the other lengths. But i feel like that would cut down on the customization of your character. Don't take it the wrong way, I think different weapon lengths would be cool. I just see some issues with it.

To me, weapon length feels like another "bits on sticks" situation. Yes it makes sense, but I don't agree that it necessarily makes the game better. Sharp and blunt versions of weapons though, that I have more interest in.

I want to see physical wounds on monsters. Scratches, blood, gashes. Not to a crazy extent, but enough to add some realism.

I just hope for some "new" weapons added into the main series, and i say that with the knowledge of accel axe, tonfas and magnet spike that i wish we could see into the main series, even if they rework the weapons in each mh sometimes it feels like we need more weapons in the game

I was thinking earlier, but one of the main things I'd like to see more of in Wilds is monsters with mechanics. You lightly touched upon it here with the whole lightning storm aspect, but genuinely adding some mechanical depths to monsters would be great. I personally really enjoyed the Elemental DPS check of Alatreon, and would like to see more monsters like that, encouraging specific playstyles. Same with things life Safi and Behemoth, hell, even Amatsu from Sunbreak, fights that require you to use elements of the environment would be amazing additions. As much as I enjoy mindlessly swinging away at monsters, having to think ever so slightly more during a hunt would be fun. With Wilds seemingly looking to be Open-world, there is so much space for these kinds of mechanics, and that is what excites me. There is so much potential here, and even if Capcom can't nail all of it, I know it'll still be an amazing game.

@RageGamingVideos If you want to do the digging, there was a stream way back when capcom unity was doing streams with Yuri as the host. A member of the dev team talked about why frontier wasn't released in the west legality and all. BUT he did state in that stream that the goal to bring Frontier to global is a goal for capcom.... THE ISSUE IS they have to do it slowly, like 1 piece at a time each game. So its not that its influence the devs are keeping their promise to us about getting around the legal issues the best they can. If no one believes me do watch the streams from Capcom Unity when 4U was being released.

I hope of World but actual open world with procedural hunts and an actual ecosystem. rise was too anime, flashy and dumb looking for my tastes, even if it had great monster species, even more than world, but i couldn't get over the weightless, anime feel. I am really happy than World director will take control of Wilds. Lets hope for a great hunting experience

the only thing i need from wilds is for capcom to bring back the bang to their music i think risebreak has honestly some of the worst renditions of certain themes in the series, purely because there's basically no percussion The same applied for Espinas, his theme was just the HR Great Forest minus the twang that made it so special Frontier's older music before the composer change was something that stood out even among Monster Hunter's huge variety, it helped make the game feel so special, and i NEED it to be done justice like they did Zinogre justice in Iceborne

I though Espinas was cool when I first saw him get anounced because all knew at the time was he was from frontier but then I fought him then introduced him to my freinds when I helped them on there go through of Sunbreak but then I started playing through frontier myself and gained a whole new appreciantion for him and sunbreak flaming espinas even made my top 5 favorite monsters.

Size / weight class should affect attack speed damage and sharpness I've been thinking about the implications of hammers that do more blunt damage but are slower in hitting and vice versa

There will definitely be a large majority of frontier monsters that will never come to mainline, mostly the very endgame ones due to their designs being waaaaay too over the top and not fitting the aesthetic or design philosophy at all

So when is Capcom going to show anything else from Wilds? I get the release is in 2025, though I'm hoping for early 2025, so maybe they'll have something by the TGS. This might be a bad take, but I'd like Wilds to have longer service than World got. Like, extended title updates and even more map expansions/content. Every MH game, you get the main, then the expansion and maybe 3-4 title updates and that's it. What if Wilds gets two additional expansions instead of one? Game development costs have increased, especially for AAA games. It would make sense to have Wilds last a bit longer than typical entries. Sunbreak appeared to be testing the waters a bit, and it paid off for having that little bit of extra content. Also, World character transfer. Just our data. Maybe if you owned World you get some kind of bonus if you play Wilds. Sort of like how Destiny 1 carried over into Destiny 2. Not to say it's a continuation of World though it's implied that it might. Cross platform would also be nice.

The only way i see MH getting 2 expansions is if they did 1 for high rank and 1 for Master Rank. But that would bring bad press as they would remove something traditionally included in the base game only to sell it to you later. Also the cost of game development has only gone up because the big studios overhire staff which bloats their dev costs. Look at Hollow Knight or Lethal Company. Those games were made with 3 or less people on the dev teams. They made massive amounts of money from the releases. AAA is a bloated corpse that needs to burst in order to relieve the pressure.

Im definitely on the side of keep frontier as frontier, the majority has no place in a mainline game, bring back hypnoc and espinas since they have both been in previous mainlines, but leave it at that, there’s enough area exploding, neon coloured anime monsters as is at this point, they would do better going down the world route of building a natural ecosystem and having everything being very grounded, instead of bright pink screen nukes every few seconds

You're just flat out wrong here. Other than burt species, origin species, zeniths, and a handful of late and endgame monsters MH frontier monsters aren't so out there. You could easily add monsters like abiorugu, akura jebia, barlagual, midogaron, and taikun zamuza without people noticing

Any of the following Frontier monsters coming back would make me happy tbh Taikun Zamuza Pariapuria the scorpions, but with Crystalblight reworked Forokururu Rukodiora Laviente but reworked as a siege fight Nono & Kamu Unknown, because why not :V When it comes to non-monster stuff, I'd like to see some of the weapon mechanics that were unique to Frontier come over, like midcombo sharpening on Dual Blades

Imagine if they make lagiacrus in wilds have some electro magnetic floating mode when enraged Starts grounded and sluggish like in GU but when enraged the thunderstorm manifests and lagi is able to use the lighting and various lighting rod type structures (both organic and built) to move like he was underwater? Ik it's a bit of a reach but i think I would be a cool way to work around the lack of underwaterness

Frontier version of white/ancient/old fatalis. If we hunt that, considered the most powerful Monster lorewise, I will retire from future monster hunter games until a new even more powerful Monster comes along... Not sure if elemental merphistophelin is more powerful then that white fatalis but we will see.

Maybe the magnet spike could be used as a wall climbing thing? With all the lightning there could be some meatal in the ground and we could just jump up and clime up with magnets. Could also been an upgrade so if attacked by a monster you don't get knocked off.

I've pointed it out before and it still bothers me but in one of the scenes with the "bears" in the sandstorm, one of them is much larger and seems to be missing most of its tail, which I find weird because, up to this points only large monsters can have their tail cut, so either this is just a size variation and their adding progressional damage to "small" monsters or this is a Great/Drome situation, which would be interesting considering the size of the smaller "bears"

Frontier's flagship is shit. flagships have a standard that espenas is well below. every other flagship at least has a few new ideas where he really doesn't. everything was MH1 stuff in a blender around MH2's release. passable monster, i guess, but an utterly atrocious flagship that proves the inferiority of that team. why copy this dead MMO when you can make your own monsters? there's no point, unless they have a skeleton scare again i guess. Frontier made lavasioth, by choice, again proving how inferior they are. only fools wouldn't trust the main team to easily one up Frontier's pathetic ideas with similar concepts in their sleep... if they even want to, that is. yes. for all we know it was just a cool idea from the team.. going from World's more lived in ecosystem to that but also with weather effects altering things isn't much of a jump. the follower system, i'll give you that one, it wasn't bad and it is similar enough to the rastas. if they fit in anywhere it's the weirdness of the portable team and barely even then. NEVER trust any of them to direct a game. it'll be like Disney Star Wars where they miss the entire point. Frontier is a joke, after MH2 they made a point to scale back to avoid exactly what Frontier became. how long did Frontier exist? doesn't matter, the real Monster Hunter team predicted how it would end as early as the start of portable 2nd's development. weapon balancing is bad enough as it is, we don't need 1 more factors like that of super long or super short weapons to make that even worse. balancing this on top would be a nightmare.

Before MH3, monsters didn't have stamina. Espinas did, and he'd switch from being super aggressive but easy to damage to being tired but hard to damage. His main gimmick became a feature of the entire series. Tell me again how "Espinas bad???"

@@elk3407 didn't know that stamina was 3rd gen but everything else is just a hot pot of shit from MH1 so really other flagships are better since they added more unique ideas for monster design. there's also no proof that the main team adding that was cause of them, it's a simple enough idea, just like what Josh said about the thunder thing. as i predicted, you guys jump at the chance to credit Frontier when there's not proof.

I personally would love if Gureadomosu being added to wilds. Imagine all of the ecological interactions it could have? There could be interactions where you can break off its algae layer which both enrages it but also opens up a new weak spot on its back. Perhaps Gureadomosu with a ton of algae on their back are extremely healthy individuals. With the aquifers they live in being extremely healthy and pure water. Or it could have in game interactions with a Cephalos like monster. It’s traveling between an oasis for whatever reason, and Cephalos in the middle of the desert attack it. It repels them using its water tubes obviously. But instead of them continuing to attack it they leave it alone and drink up the water it leaves behind in the sand. Additionally its body could be made up of Limestone and Sandstone, with the Limestone being an inner layer to act as a camels hump and allow it to retain greater reservoirs of water. Meanwhile the Sandstone outer layer is meant to keep the water trapped inside of it. But when you break its chest it leaks water out of its belly, meaning it will need to refill its portable aquifer. I haven’t fought him yet in Frontier, but from what I have seen in your guys’ videos, he might need a rework. But I genuinely think that as of the origin species he is definitely one that could be an amazing inclusion into the main line games. I think he would work great in Wilds.

World was good before they even added the Clutch Claw, and I got through all of Rise barely using Silkbinds until Sunbreak. Both mechanics seem fairly controversial, as well, though for different reasons. Makes me wonder if we really want another "gimmick" for lack of a better term. I mean whether it will improve the game or not is one question, and whether we will see it or not is another entirely.

I want the super roars like the one were the hunter falls to the ground in pain and shivering for a bit imagine nergis big roar the one he dose when he is low it has a big windup and he spreads his wings out to the full wingspan and just lest it out Edit example at 8:23

I love design of the moth looking monster and it would be interesting to bring a smaller cousin (aroud yian garuga's size), alongside Malfestio, to use his thin, hairlike scales to inflict a new ailment effect on us hunter; slugishness. It reduces your stamina to the minimum and you're forced to eat a well done steak to heal it (or you have hunger resistance).
