Man it's 2022 and hearing "Proof of a hero" gives me goosebumps. I've poured more hours into this game than anything I've ever played and is easily top 3 favorite game.

Looking back at this, it's so refreshing to see that they initially announced this game with a trailer centered on ACTUAL GAMEPLAY. Practically everything about MHW amazes me because Capcom has really taken it upon themselves to make a game that caters to the player, even from the outset of this trailer. There were no false promises in a pre-made, pre-rendered type cutscene of a trailer. What you see in this first announcement trailer is almost entirely accurate to the final game. Not only that, but the game ships with SO MUCH content in it and with more promised free DLC on the way. Are we back in like 2006 or something? Since when is it cool to release a full game with no DLC strings attached? I hope this game is getting the recognition it deserves because I'd definitely like to see Capcom's approach to MHW become the model for other triple A developers.

To think this game came out 4 years ago, seriously my favourite game hands down, I've poured over 1800 hours into this game and honestly if I had more time I'd keep playing it, it got me into monster hunter as a whole and because of this I even played 4U, GU and both MHSTs and now MHR Edit: came back a year later after seeing the new MH game trailer... I'm so excited for MH Wilds!

Series finally taking that daring step with the attempt to evolve. Don't get me wrong, 4 and Gen provided plenty new things, but this is the massive jump that needs to be witnessed.

I'm taken aback by all these "true Monster Hunter fans" bashing the game and calling it shit without so much as seeing an extended gameplay video. Seriously? This looks amazing, it looks like they are both evolving the game and going back to its roots. I started playing MH with Freedom Unite, and the thing that pulled me in the most was that these creatures were living, breathing organisms, based in reality, with no over the top designs. They were monsters, but with very practical and grounded looks, stuff that you would be like oh, he uses that to dig down and wait for prey. The last couple of MH titles have been straying away from that (I'm looking at you rocket-wings), so it's nice to see them go back to the more natural looking monsters. They are also branching off it looks like, maybe implementing an open world were you can move seamlessly and track the monster down like hunters do. It could be a great game, it could be an average game, it could be a shit game, we don't have enough information to pass judgement yet. If you really believe you are a "true Monster Hunter fan" you shouldn't be wanting this game to fail just because it's different from the MH for DS. Regardless, I'm looking forward to this game, the trailer got me all hyped up during Sony's conference.

LOOKS DIFFERENT I LIKE IT

It’s not just a masterpiece. It’s a foundation for other game developers and industries to get their heads out of their ass and actually make something that has love and passion put into it. Not a laundering cash grab, not another sequel every single year. Just a really good game that has lots of substance and foundation built off of it. You can tell just by playing it, the world they created feels like it’s breathing. There’s so much depth and substance, it draws you in with its epic spectacles, and fills the gaps with its charming nature. There is absolutely no other game that has touched my heart like this. But more than that, it’s like a love letter to the first monster hunter. I remember booting it up on my PlayStation 2, and feeling like I’m being transported into another world. Regardless of its dated graphics, and hardware. it was like nothing else I’ve ever had the pleasure to experience for myself. Capcom made gaming not only fun, but meaningful as well. even though I don’t talk to these people anymore because of life situations. But I have made so many friends on my long journey through the universe of monster hunter.

Thanks to this game, monster hunter has gotten a lot more traction And a lot more toxic shitheads, but that's a given

I am enjoying Rise. But it doesn't come close to the amazing immersive experience provided MH World. World + Iceborne set a standard for the MH series that only capcom can overcome in their next main line sequel to MH World

I remember watching this and immediately thinking this isn't Monster Hunter. And then the Rathalos shows up.

Just wow, some people are already hating the game when we have only watched a two and a half min vid.

The best game that was ever made. It aged like fine wine. I still play it after playing it for thousands of hours since it released. Hopefully they will announce a new MH6 today at TGS, the hype is killing me.

This trailer still gives me chills even though it's 2019 and the game has been available to play for almost a year and a half now. That is the sign of a GOOD game!

I'm so glad they've made new monsters, it's so refreshing. If I have to hunt another Khezu again, I think I might just hang myself. People are saying this monster looks "generic" but I think it's awesome. Those fold out fins look lit.

I just hope they don't make the game too easy. The challenge is a big reason I got into this game

Bowguns looks like it'll be getting a massive overhaul. Note that during the "gatling gun" sequence, the hunter was slowly waling backwards, and that fire rate is somewhat higher (the flashes doesn't seem to match the actual shots, though the fire rate seemed to be speeding up over time).

Exploring this game with so many other hunters has literally been amazing, can't thank Capcom enough for the memories. See y'all in Rise, just gonna do it all again

This looks different, but very cool nonetheless. The new monsters look a little too much like dinosaurs, but this is just a small sneak peek of what they will look like, and if they bring back a lot of cool old monsters, it'll still be good. Also I'm hyped as fuck to finally be able to play Monster Hunter on my Xbox. Hopefully now i can convince some of my friends to play so I'm not stuck with randoms all the time.

First MH game ever played, didn't know about it until a friend told me about 6 months ago. Downloaded it during a sale, forgot about it for a few months picked it up maybe 2 months ago now with some friends and have played every single night. Incredibly fun game

I love how whenever I see footage of a Monster Hunter game it's always someone using a long sword or a bow, and I'm here flying through the air like a helicopter with my dual blades.

The level of quality from over 6 years ago... Makes me very excited for the future. I feel proud to witness yet another installment of the franchise in Wilds Both Monster hunter and Capcom keep on delivering.

I never preordered a deluxe edition or anything like that. Guess this is gonna be my first time.

Theee years of World, today was when the final update to the game adding Fatalis came out. I remember when this trailer came out and to be honest, I wasn’t into MH at the time so I didn’t really care. My thirteenth birthday comes out in 2019 and I order the game for the hell of it and got captured into the Monster Hunter Franchise. The game I started with got its final major update today, two new Monster Hunter games are in development. This entry in the series won’t only be seen as one of if not the best entry in the franchise, but one of the best games ever. Thank you CAPCOM and especially Kaname Fujioka for making this great series!

Literally the best game i played in my 30 years of live. And i think nothing will ever beat it..

It's been 5 years...I still remember the moment of me completely and beautifully losing my absolute shit seeing World's graphics. This is truly one of the best Monster Hunter I've played and the best video game franchise Capcom had graced us.

3K hours into this game since the release until the final update Fatalis of ICEBORNE. Thank you for this wonderful piece of art and letting us be a part of it. Currently enjoying SunBreak and can't wait for the next game.

I remember when I watched the intro to the first Monster Hunter on PS2 and said "if only this amazing game could look like that." Now here we are with more improvements. Can't wait to play this series again.
