I haven't been interested in Monster Jam for the longest time but lately I've found myself going back and watching old clips and reading about the trucks and events and even catching up on the newer news. It's been a nice way to connect to my upbringing. This video specifically really took me back to that weekend
Wasn't a horrible track. It's just that the technology of the trucks wasn't ready for jumps this big. That's why so many broke. If this track was done tomorrow, it'd be different.
Technology hasn't changed all that much since then. The track was far too cluttered. Hot Wheels and Metal Mulisha proved that the trucks would take the amount of air, they were just lucky that they landed in the right places to not break or get tripped up on another obstacle. We saw what happened with WF18, when they finally scaled back the ramps and gave more landing space, it was the best WF to date.
This was my first ever World finals I attended. It was such an amazing weekend. I sat next to a big avenger fan and man be was fun to talk to. Thank yoi for reuploading these so I can relieve the nights!
