Man, so much hate everywhere. I understand it wasn't the best of encores, but can't we just enjoy monster trucks? The basic philosophy that any amount of something you want or enjoy is better than nothing of that could really help so many of you.

So....destroying fake buildings with presumably, you know, people in them is totally okay. BUT...God forbid the word GUN is present on a truck. FELD you are the biggest bunch of hypocrites to ever walk the face of the Earth. But on another that double backflip was SWEET

They ruin the badass Gunslinger truck and Chad fortunes Soldier Fortune becuase of the word gun and the turret but they can drive a truck into the buildings full of people. Right....
RevItUp 7 Notice something else to, they clearly show footage of The Rock holding a GUN. And not just any gun, like a military grade gun (don’t know the exact type). FELD is a bunch of hypocrites, plain and simple.
Feld sucks. These encores sucked. As a long time fan who has made the trip to Vegas 6 times from CT, this will be my last world finals. I don't care where it goes next year.
Terrible encore honestly. I mean you take this thing that is so special to the fans and you make it AN AD FOR A MOVIE. And that's what this is. It isn't some tie-in because Dwayne Johnson is some huge fan and wanted to do this cool thing for us. This is a live-action commercial. And worse than that, it was boring. It was not an exciting encore. Someone else said it perfectly, this isn't a Disney show. This is a motorsport. And, while it can be impressive to watch, choreography is only interesting IF THEY DO SOMETHING INTERESTING, which they didn't. Trucks making easy jumps through plastic buildings, chasing each other around and doing single backflips is not interesting. The only mildly exciting thing about it was the double backflip attempt, and again, it was majorly hurt by the fact that it was unsuccessful. I'm not usually one to mindlessly bash on FELD but this is entirely their doing and it's utterly sickening. Not only are they uprooting the Finals and throwing away all of the tradition and the things that make this event special, but they took arguably the most special and anticipated tradition, the very last one for the last Finals in Vegas and they gave us this. They really just spit directly in our faces with this one. Why did they think we would like this?
You see, FELD is more of a stage performing/broadway/acting circus type of company. They really shoulda thought about how it would work out literally bringing destructive, high horsepower trucks like these and using them as characters. Have you ever noticed that? The *"characters"* of the sport. You got these trucks like Monster Mutt, El Toro Loco, (Which were out before FELD bought Monster Jam, but still they monetized them a lot more after they bought Monster Jam) Meglodon, Earthshaker and whatever other stuff they put out there. But the main trucks they focus on, is Grave Digger...and Maximum Destruction. Why you may ask? Because they bring in the money obviously. They don't celebrate the 10th/15th anniversary of MM or the same with ETL. It's just Digger Digger Digger, Max-D, Max-D, Max-D. Because they know those are the ones to bring the money because those trucks have such a huge fanbase. So they try to make more and more...and more of characters to see which one gets the most money and deserves the most attention. Think of why talented drivers like Rummel has a Pirates Curse Body on his chassis or why Trent Montgomery has Megalodon on his. FELD is taking these driver's OWN trucks and shooing them away because it will make the character more famous It's not exciting when I see these bland one time cash ins do that. Like I said, FELD is an ENTERTAINMENT company, but not the entertainment we talk about.
I was there and the most disappointing part about the night was the early freestyle runs that shortly. Field needs to put a rule that any truck that flips over within 30-45 seconds in a freestyle should roll back over and have the opportunity too perform for the fans. The encore could have been better but I don’t feel like it was totally bad
Remember when the World Finals encore was supposed to bring something new and innovative? Well both of them this year we're honestly the lamest encores I have ever seen. It was essentially a glorified, longed out version of Max-D's 10th anniversary encore. Nothing super special was revealed, no new tricks or stunts, or hell, not even a return of a couple old schoolers. Instead we got them "smashing buildings" and failing a double backflip which we have seen more than enough. And those Rampage trucks suck major ass. But let's be real, they'll never be used again after this. It was a cheap way of reeling in cash for one of The Rocks shitty action films. The crowd's reaction throughout this whole encore said it all. Lame. As. Hell.
