Same here I'm over summer can't go do very much I'm always feeling sad during the summer most likely because of the heat I love the Halloween and holiday seasons seems like I'm only happy during that time
Listening to oldies like these brings a smile to my face because songs back then were often used to tell a story. I'm not saying music today is worse or bad, but rarely do any of them tell stories like they once did. I recommend "Purple People Eater", another good Halloween track and it tells a fun little story too while sounding great.

When I was in elementary school every year around Halloween in gym class we would do an activity where we would do the monster mash, and then make up our own dances to the song. This is so nostalgic
They played this song at the burial of my siamese twin stepdaughters *( after Daphne's wedding to that Puerto Rican guy.) *(they were fraternal. Probably)👰♀️🤵♂️💝
I just remembered when my school gathered us all in a bunch and forced us to dance for their own sick amusement.. so that’s why I’m here. I got flashbacks when the song started. Yeah. I suffered those days but I’d gladly trade everything I know and learned throughout the years to go back there. I don’t care if I’ll be miserable again and unknowing of my sacrifice and will resume life as if skipping back in time was normal lmao I just wanna go back Elementary School. I am trash) old “stalker” camera guy that I haven’t seen in a loooong while.. 3rd/4th grade maybe? (‘twas joke between us though, I think he was Joe Namath’s brother or sumthin’..? My grandma suggested that for some reason.. many years ago. I dunno man.. I don’t think I’ll never know. He looked like him a bit tho. I remember wanting to get Joe Namath to come to my house to meet my pap to make him happy. I think if I followed along with that plan.. I think I could’ve arranged it. I mean the dude was at my school that day..? So maybe? But that opportunity is long gone now. I was a rather stupid kid who couldn’t speak up when I could) two random kids downloaded Minecraft on a computer in 1st/2nd grade, story bout’ this guy lookin’ up into a tornado and seeing 4/3 lil ones inside that actually rip up the stuff.. story stayed with me through all these years. Heard it near Christmas in a lil after school store in our gym. It was called “Santa’s Workshop” in where ya got cool gadgets and things for Christmas. Money went to the school I think.

Halloween comes once every year, the pandemic happens suddenly and is extremely a rare case. I'd say one or two years without a festive Halloween is not much of a sacrifice if it involves lowering the percentage of infections.

In first or second grade around Halloween, my P.E. teacher would dim the lights in the gym and set up all sorts of ghoulish activities around the gym and we would rotate so we could each spend some time doing each activity and she would play this music through it all. Good memories.

It's almost Augustttt! I'll admit I'm going to miss summer for the first time, so this year I'm not celebrating Spooky Season until the first day of September! (Usually, I celebrate spooky season in August), but I'm excited for everything Fall :)

The currently accepted canon for Tenacious D is Beelzeboss I'm pretty sure, but I feel like the song they were tributing *was* tribute. Like, they didn't know it, but they were actually singing the song they forgot.
Geoff Castellucci does this song a many others. He is an awesome singer/baritone with many different ranges including deep E1 (very low). He is also a member of Voiceplay. An Acapella group. He gives a great twist on the song along with a great performance.
