Exactly, why bother with the tension between the kids and the mysterious old man when the trailer shows it means nothing.

He's still working, but mostly in films that go straight to DVD/streaming. His last starring role that got a wide theatrical release was Fatman in 2020. This movie looks like it could be fun, though. I hope it is.

Original IT didn't even go straight to video, went straight to TV for a two part mini series.

The original IT was a 2 part TV show, never was it intended for a cinema release unlike the 2 part remake. Please get it right if you are going to make a really daft comment oolong. Oh by the way this film is scheduled for massive worldwide cinema release soooo........
