I was a b-boy in 1982, you cant 'teach' me what a battle is. Both sides should not shout things at the other, when they are on the floor, respect should be shown.
That was the 70's, and we have this thing called PROGRESS. We should always learn from our past mistakes, and better ourselves though our past experience, and learn. Nobody should shout abuse at another crew or their members while one of them is displaying their skills. Any insults should be done through dance moves, which is why the whole creativity aspect of Breakin' is so amazing. Shouting cusses just shows a lack of intelligence, lack of respect, and looks pathetic. I trained in boxing and martial arts most of my life, and I love fighting between two trained people who have both agreed to challenge each other, but fighting in the street (unless you are defending yourself against a stupid attacker) is absolutely pointless and dumb.
Nik Gnashers bruh considering you saying that then you should also note that at the end of a battle they dapped it up and kept it moving because that’s real respect. And plus you can’t speak on their behalf whilst not being there saying it’s no respect towards each side. A battle is a battle and you should know better that bboys are hungry for the win so they’d do whatever it takes whether it be talking or not it’s just a battle mechanism to get into your opponents head.
