The fact she's not there limited her chances of having a magnificent staging. so she was stuck with a small studio in Sydney and had to rely on camera tricks throughout the 3 minute performance.

It is, she has an incredible control over it, I’m sorry for her that the song wasn’t the best, the chorus is the weakest part in my opinion, but I love those parts when you can hear her voice rapidly changing tone. Although in general I’d give the song a 5/10 I think she does a flawless work in performing it, should have gone through.

Honestly when there was only 1 spot left and looked which songs are left I realized they all were good. Usually it is pretty easy to write off songs.

@@Rainaman- - agreed. Usually I can pick a definite group of "top songs", but this year it's just so hard. Every country has sent a grand final worthy song. In any other year, these songs would have made the final. 2021 really has "come back bigger and stronger". This is a "strong year" dialled up to 11.

Even as an Australian, I really wished they didn’t let her try again - the last song reminded me of a clown in a circus and this one is just as embarrassing. The first time we didn’t make the final - it doesn’t surprise if this is what we have. Literally anyone else - I suggest Sheldon Riley for example.

I agree but I do understand why this song didn't qualify. It's because the rehersals were made to see the performances of the singers during live and technicolour has a lot of high notes and unfortunately montaigne wasn't able to reach all of them

As a person and singer i think Montaigne is artistically very abstract, i wasn't vibing with the technicolor production. I empathise with Montaigne as her potentially one in a lifetime experience with eurovision was bad timing. Oh my mum loved this song. I mean my whole family did, but it was my mum's favourite and she is a really really tough critic... I don't care too much about stage production etc., for me it's more about seeing the performer perform the song and the song itself and I liked it a lot. Definitely among the 10 best so should've gone to the finals imo. But yeah, not being there killed her chances. So send her again next year 😘

The song is awesome but it contains so many “unstable” singing techniques that it makes it hard to perform live ,without any voice cracks and off key notes . And obviously she was really stressed and as we all know voice is not an instrument and current condition of the person affects it pretty much . Lots of love from Russia 🇷🇺❤️

Back in 2004 parents introduced me to Eurovision, since then I joined their tradition. I have watched 20 Eurovisions so far, this song tops them all to me. Technically very difficult song, still surprised it didnt even pass to finals, like wtf :D

I feel the instrumental weakness of this track was an issue. It needs more depth, especially if it is to inspire people to remember the tune. Still, a good effort under difficult circumstances.
