My god, yey a montale review!! One of my fave houses! One of my all time favourite frags is Blue Amber, cant get enough of it, im on my third 100ml bottle over the last 3 years and it has serious longevity. My second fave from montale is Red vetyver, very much like terre d'hermes edp but even deeper and richer. Im wearing Montale Sweet oriental dream today, a vanilla cherry and almond turkish delight bomb!! Its like an even sweeter version of Diors hypnotic poison edp, its been a perfect cool day for this super sweet potent scent up here in the north.

Another fantastic review. I really admire your open-mindedness and your willingness to try things...even things you have disliked in the past. Honestly, sometimes our tastes change...whether it be with music, fashion, foods, or fragrances. I know Montales are usually marketed as unisex fragrances. C. Miller Hello Cara, thanks!! I think this one could definitely be pulle doff by a woman. It is probably one of the woodiest fragrances I've smelled and the depth of it is intense. It's hugely arabian in overall feel (like most montales) and does veer towards the masculine but, I can see the feminine beauty in it also. :)
How much was the postage for the samples to the u.k btw mate? First in fragrance do a very good sample service but the postage from germany to here is almost a tenner i would say for just a few samples

Oh yeah you said didnt you, lol durrr, cool im gonna get a couple of packs for sure, im not huge on oud either but red aoud is really nice, its like a gourmand oud, just a bit of oud in the background
:) I'm deffo iffy with Oud. I'm actually sick of it!!! i't just everywhere. i'm waitying for the trend to be over and something new to pop up! I have smelled a few Ouds that I like..(this one for instance) but the more subtle it is, the more likely I am to like it.
Love your reviews, this one sounds interesting. Might have to give it a try and get a few of those samples. Had to giggle a little cause as I watch this, I'm eating a bacon sandwich with loads of brown sauce, mmm.
RobAntDen yum!!!! Bacon and brown sauce belong together. Yes..I think as this company isn't easy to find over here it's worth it. They do have a very apparent arabian feel to them (well the ones I have smelled anyway) I'ts the oud...but..there are some that do not contain any oud so, I'm excited to try those too.

I need your help a.s.a.p please.. im looking to finally get my first niche fragrance but I only have a budget of 100-150 to spend and your the only fragrance reviewer that always responds to my comments.. I was gunna purchase dior homme intense or armani code profumo but when I found out some niche fragrances like montale were in the same price range I figured I might as well try one but I dont want my first niche experience to be a bad one.. I want a beastly projecting long lasting nice fall/winter niche fragrance I hope you can help..
Heyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! The first thing that springs to my mind is Memoirs Of A Trespasser by Imaginary Authors!! A really itnensely woody fragrance with lots of vanilla and rough edges. :)

I don't think it's sold on Notino but they are a USA brand so you should be able to get it easily. It has a great longevity. Imaginary Authors are pretty good all round. The other two you mention? I have only tried Dior Homme Intense so I can't really comment. :) Sorry.

Great review Ouchie! MONTALE is actually one of my favorite houses. . I have quite a few of their frags, and love them all. My top Oud based from them is the infamous "Black Aoud", and my all time favorite from them is "Patchouli Leaves" as I am a huge Patch head. Amazing job, and hope you keep doing more MONTALE reviews in the near future.
VanScott Hello! and thanks! so much. Yes I certainly will be doing many more. Now I have a whole bunch of samples. I'm excited to delve a bit deeper into this brand. I just need to steer away from their oudy ones a little bit. Razscott, another youtube reviewer kindly sent me a sample of "Sweet Oriental Dream" recently and it's gone STRAIGHT on my want list. It the best one I've smelled of theirs so far. I love vanilla and amber and something a bit exotic and it fits really well!
I see you will have blue amber in that sample pack, get on it mate, outstanding juice if you like amber but its not too ambery like some others out there

Yeah, theres some notes in there that make it not too ambery and freshen it up, maybe the bergamot or coriander and vetiver, I have other amber frags like ambre precieux and lartisans amber extreme which are just mainly all amber but blue amber just does it for me lol

Jolly Victorian :) It's really good. If you haven't smelled any other montales it could be even better. Once you smell a few though..you kinda get their feel. :)
