As a Bulgarian, Montana is really not on the top of tourist destinations I recently visited on my way to another city. Would recommend Belogradchik Rocks and Castle nearby a really amazing place. Those Kiosk you've mentioned I am not sure where you've got this information never heard of it before, the machine you saw next to the Roman bathhouse is ordinary coffee machine, very popular in Eastern Europe and are more of a recent thing.
Thank you so much for your insight! I’ll be visiting Belogradchik very soon. Yes, I’ve seen those coffee vending machines all over Bulgaria - including the village of Koprivshtitsa. They’re not something I’ve ever come across in the U.S. As far as the kiosks go, I actually have a photography book of nothing but kiosks. It’s called “Kiosk: The Last Modernist Booths Across Central and Eastern Europe.” These structures are probably something that really stand out to Westerners (like me) but may seem quite normal to people who have seen them for their whole lives.
My understanding is that most Turkish people living in Bulgaria live in the northeast of the country while Montana is situation in the northwest of the country ☺️ Of course, Bulgaria also has smaller Turkish populations scattered throughout the country.
There are two regions where most of them live North-East and in the South in Rhodope mountains, some of them are ethnic Turks and others are Bulgarians who are muslim
