The Montana level cap system was exclusively developed to provide endless possibility for the professional artist. Levels 1 - 6 caps provide thin to fat line outputs similar to different widths of paint brushes. These caps work will all Montana Spray Cans.

@enzymesX The width of the spray also depends on how fast you move the can, how far away from the surface you work and how much pressure you press the cap. You can get varying size lines within a single cap.

@TheElementsART I can't speak to this product in relation to other spray paint, but they should be used outside or in a well ventilated space. Make sure to follow the safety instructions on the can when you use them.

In our videos we use a variety of surfaces - mainly canvas boards for the smaller pieces and Crescent Graffiti Paper which comes in a roll so you can work very large.

man that's not fair.. howcome your paint doesn't drip. no matter where i do it's always starts drippin. im so furious. i know that you have to paint fast, but still maaan! should i try different caps or what. help needed. thankyouthankyougoodbye!

Are these caps better quality than the stock caps that come with aerosol spray can?

+IamAnoobiecheez They aren’t any better or worse, just different. The cap that comes with the can will only provide a general, universal spray pattern. Montana offers these other options for artists who need to be able to better control the line width of thepaint. i recently bought two montana gold cans one came with a gold cap with beige dot and the other one came with a grey dot cap ? Why ? Aren't they supposed to come with a gold cap with a black dot on them ?

+Marv Glz The standard cap for the Montana Gold line now has the beige dot. It sounds like you simply received some older cans, and because this is a rolling change, retailers will have a mixture of older and newer caps for a while. Hi, Im trying to do Candy Apple Red paint job where the base coat is metallic silver paint and the top coat is red. Will any of the Montana product be translucent enough for the metallic specs to show through? If not, what do you suggest? Thanks!

+Jason Chen The Montana Gold line of spray paints now have transparent colors, but besides for Transparent Ketchup, there isn’t a good red - at least not one that could be considered “candy apple red”. level one was skinny, but damn level 2 was a huge difference. i would think 2 was a bit fatter than the first one
