Thanks a lot I can hear Monte and Andy here together.Heaven and hell in the same time, brilliant. I can't explain why I didn't know both before. I 'm on the road in music 30+ years now. Monte was playing in german tv-show "Rockpalast" a full concert. (see it on you tube too). I'm now a big fan. Two days after I hear Monte I got my first double CD of him. The best in the last time I can hear. Thankyou so much.

In Indian classical formats I think this pairing up would be referred to as " Jugal Bandhi", roughly meaning the togetherness of two friends - separate yet inseparable; moving from free fall to aloneness to unforgettable unity of a diverse virtuosity. This is not often seen in Rock. It shows up a truly awesome confidence, a brilliant understanding of where you want to go and the ultimate offering. Andy is extremely proficient & smooth and he can play almost anything. I just never found him to be very original in style or tone. Monte, on the other hand, is def original in style and tone. That's what every player should strive for. In my younger days, I took pride in nailing my heroes' licks ands tones but when I hit around 20, I knew I had to focus much more on being original. Although I never hit the bigtime, people always compliment me on my style and tone. They know me by just hearing a few notes. Originality is what people admire and rem you by. It's also key to self respect. It's great to learn solos and licks you love but once your have, find a way to make those licks your own. Record yourself improvising and any licks you hear that are someone else's, change in someway or else stop playing em. Rock On!
Hard to tell from that video but the top doesn't look as pitted and worn and that looks like a new or lighter pick guard. Never hurts to have a backup around and trusted.
