Finally, I had the great fortune of witnessing what I believe to be one of the best guitarists alive today, Monte Montgomery, at the Canal Street Tavern in Dayton, Ohio, on June 5, 2010. Among other things, Monte is well known for his incredible rendition of Jimi Hendrix's classic "Little Wing". As one would expect from a man with his tremendous gifts and abilities, it is never quite the same from performance to performance. I believe we were treated to something very, very special that night. The entire evening was so incredible. I will post more videos as I am able, and personally cannot wait to see Monte live again.
This is an extraordinary artist that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you get out to see as soon as possible. Amazing does not begin to cover it. I must mention that his vocals were very impressive too - I was not expecting that, as I was in such anticipation of his otherworldly guitar skills.
