I didn't know that Montenegro is even more beautiful than Croatia, especially the beaches seem more accessible and nicer for swimming, Budva and Kotor seem phenomenal, Croatia has beautiful islands, but Montenegro is more beautiful as far as the mainland is concerned,thank you for these wonderful videos ❤

Budva is cheaper end of August, many beaches are for free. Also places around are cool. Tourists are not aware of Herceg Novi, several kilometres long promenade, fortresses, small beaches often free or sunbeds from 5e onwards. End of June also optimal, you'll have lot of space

You have to visit Durmitor national park. The nature there is stunning! Also Djurdjevica Tara and do some rafting there. The south is beautiful but nothing comapred to the north! Hope you have a wonderful stay in Montenegro my beloved home country😍

OMW , you literally picked my brain , was thinking about Malta earlier . 68 /71 /76 . First was on a med school cruise , then back at the RAF base , careful of the wine :-) long story . then with the folks , more sedate :-) Wonder what ' The gut ' is like today :-) ? Even then had a walking street , follow a lady that is attractive , if you catch her eye , when she turns left or right , just follow :-) ! The Gut was WW2 and later . Blue grotto is cool , get to the islands , water polo was cool back then :-) Church in a church was cool . Wonder what the Air Commodores place looks like now . Was an oasis behind white walls back then , amongst the barren landscape , Great times . St Angelo too ! Was a night club there back then .

I recognize the old town from photo's my son showed me. And he loved the grilled kebabs, even made some of them at home ☺ Delicious ☺ The water in the sea seems so clean. Majority of video is filmed with GoPro hero 11, and then some shots with iPhone 14 and the drone is DJI mini 3. Editing we use Final Cut Pro on our Mac air

Wish you had gone to bosnia..land of waterfalls in europe. Visually gorgeous. I agree that these pebbly beaches are nothing to write home about snd europe is expensive. The North African beaches surpass the southern european ones as they are white powder sand and have tons of shades of blue and green water! Especially in tunisia and the northern coast of egypt. Ageeba beach is just gorgeous! As is the beach in wadi harith which is free and undeveloped! The north africa coastline is spectacular!

One place was 10 euros on the first beach and at Mogren beach it was 30 euros, they charge a daily rate it seems and not per hour

So they charge €30 for a sunbed, but don’t use that income to clean up the trash. Gorgeous beaches though. Sadly Europe beaches are all becoming monetised.

A little history lesson my friend. ILLYRIANS lived in todays Albania, and parts of Montenegro and Croatia. Albanians are the direct descendants of Illyrians. With the invasion of Slavic peoples in the 7th century, many Montenegrins and Croatian were assimilated except for Albanians who saved the unique language and traditions to this day. Even to this day most parts of Montenegro (Ulcinj, Bari, Kotor, Budva the people spoke Albanian in the past. To this day Ulcinj and Bari in Montenegro 70% are Albanian, same with Croatia there is a seaside town and people to this day called Arbanasi (Albanians).

Those beaches are not full of garbage. They didn't clean the corner which is free of charge, which is also kind of not ok, but it is mostly very clean 90% of the space. End of season they are around 15e and you can find a lot of free of charge space with a towel.

Montenegro had the "Morinj camp" established in 1991 for Croat POWs and Croat civilians from the Dubrovnik area. Many people were tortured and badly beaten just for being Croatian. Some people were murdered. Montenegro also helped Serbia bomb the UNESCO world heritage site of Dubrovnik. Montenegro also stole the Croatian sailing ship "Jadran" in 1991 which was based in the town of Split but had been in Montenegro for repairs.
