He played well against the raiders but it was the raiders and a second string QB. I think johnson is mid. Not top tier but not bottom either. The problem is he wants to get paid like he is top. You have to let those guys walk away or trade them. Look at Daniel Jones. Got paid like a top QB and now he is barely mid

Sweat is future talent, definitely planned to be signed for the future. Weak DE draft class, DEs don't make it to FA, plus we have the cap space.

Bagent is not better than Justin Fields! People like you are quick to dismiss black quarterbacks! Fields had the second best passing percentage of all time at Ohio State!

Bagent is nowhere near a starting level Qb and Fields is much better though that's not saying that much. If the bears don't realistically tank and try to get Caleb Williams then they may as well admit they don't ever want to turn the franchise around. Bagent doesn't have the talent to be a starter and Fields can't read a defense and deliver a deep ball on consistent basis. Great kids but both are back ups.

Only downside is should have traded a 3rd and a 4th not a high second.

I agree. There was zero reason to make this move. It’s a need. But they have so many needs, that pick SHOULD have landed a starting caliber player somewhere, maybe not necessarily at Edge. Now Sweat has them by the balls with all the leverage, and you’re going to be paying him Max Crosby+ money for the next 3-4. And he isn’t Max Crosby. AND he’s been playing next to Allen, Payne, and Young. 2 of those players are pro-bowlers, one is a second overall pick. Bizarre and desperate move, by a team with no identity, direction, or leadership at any level.

@@POPToppins I guess ur right, it takes incredible skill and luck to barely win 5 games over the span of a season and a half and draft guys who don't produce, blow second round picks, trade away guys for draft capital then do so bad drafting defensive line just give up and spend the draft capital back on the same position.... Seems like a high bar to set for anyone even "someone with experience"......

I’d be shocked if something doesn’t get done. You don’t make the trade unless you have something agreed upon.
