The former JCPenney at Valley View Center in Dallas was a very similar store; but was 3 floors.

I agree that this is not a bad elevator, but it needs a lot of work. The motor makes strange noises, the shaft needs to be oiled and cleaned since it is polluted and maybe the valve needs to be replaced. It is an overall fun elevator to ride. It's an inground hydraulic elevator by the way.

It's to bad this JCPenney closed. This was a rather nice JCPenney. One of the nicer ones I've been at to be honest with you. Plus it's rare to see a glass elevator in a JCPenney.

you are getting this and the mall elevators confused... The arrow on this indicator used to scroll though, but KONE stopped that :(

No, it always had the red indicator. Some MontgomeryKONE used that indicator instead of the blue one.

Any JCPenney built during the 1990's, regardless of the elevator's manufacturer, will have those doors. They always requested them.

Austin and Rockland County are a bit of a distance from eachother. Dea41396returns, lielevators, revo8778 and myself all have easy access to this mall, but mainly me, since I live ~13 exits away.

There's a vintage 1975 glass Montgomery G&P elevator at the JCPenney in the Westminster Mall in Westminster, CA.

It still has the original lanterns and one original operating panel. It was partially modernized over 20 years ago with vintage Innovation Security call buttons and second operating panel for ADA compliance.

This store is now closed down unfortunately! This was one of the more interesting elevators in the mall and they closed the store. The future of this elevator is unknown
