Mate, that’s amazing! How are you feeling? Did you feel the same pain I did or am I just a wuss? 😂 I don’t think you’ll get much sleep tonight pal, so just be ready for that. Make sure you drink LOADS of water. And when you’re back in the U.K. make sure you get some aloe vera gel for the donor area; in a few weeks it’ll get itchy! Hope the recovery goes well 👍🏻

@@HairlineConfessions Happy to hear from you, thank you for your kind words and advice! I'm a wuss when it comes to pain for sure, the local anaesthetic device felt like a needle gun! But the procedure itself was painless. :) Thankfully I'm a crime against nature when it comes to sleep as I sleep on my back regularly so it shouldn't be an issue haha. Definitely got to steal my partners aloe vera gel once I'm back in the UK! Did you ever sweat at all on in the first couple of days or weeks after the procedure? Also, your hairline looks fantastic and suits your face and head shape well. Definitely a huge difference compared to how your hair looked prior at the front.
@HairlineConfessions
@HairlineConfessions 3 года назад
@@ZeoWorks No I didn’t sweat. You have to try and avoid sweating too, so don’t exercise for a few weeks. Oddly it was the last couple of hours of the surgery that I struggled with. Maybe the anaesthetic wore off but it was really painful when they were implanting the hairs towards the end. Cheers man, I think it suits me too. And it’s such an improvement on what I looked like before which is what I wanted. Keep me updated with your progress pal 👌🏻

Hi again mate. :) I'm 9 days in now and I have a concern lol. Basically, from day 5-6 I have been gently patting my head in my sleep (Not rubbing or anything). No blood or anything has came of it. But I'm concerned that applying pressure might have damaged the graphs? Do you know if this is a valid concern? Or are we told not to touch our head in case of infections? Thanks!

Hey pal! Try not to worry as there’s nothing you can do now. I think that the grafts should be set after 3 days. Obviously you shouldn’t actively touch them but after the first few days they shouldn’t be going anywhere. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼 Other than that, how are you feeling?

Graft damage usually comes with a decent amount of blood - remember that grafts are placed quite deep, so if you dislodge one you’ll know about it! Typically you’d wake up with a noticeable trickle of blood. You’re probably fine. Grafts are set after about 7 days, so if you’re past that point and haven’t had any noticeable consequences from touching your head in your sleep then again, probably fine.

@mooney11
@mooney11 3 года назад
You've got quite a lot of double graft hairs in your hairline which shouldn't be there. I know you acknowledge the imperfections at the end of the video but you didn't really expand on them so for the benefit of everyone else... This happens because the clinic either isn't using microscopes, or they lack the skill/experience/equipment (tech-led surgery vs reputable Dr -led surgery + microscopes again!) to dissect/create multi-hair grafts into singles if they weren't able to extract enough single hairs for the hairline from the donor area. This is a major and frequent issue with cheap/crap clinics (not just in Turkey, but the UK and elsewhere). Your clinic did include micro-irregularities into the hairline design which is good and the density looks good so it's certainly a decent result in that respect. The connecting points between the corners of the hairlines and the start of the temples look pretty crude and unrefined, though easily hidden with longer hair. They've use multi graft hairs again, the direction of the grafts isn't great and the placement isn't very natural. Most people won't really notice though. You mentioned MattDominance as having gone to this clinic for his first transplant. His first transplant was pretty poor - loads of multi grafts in the hairline (more than yours), virtually no micro irregularities in the hairline (yours is pretty decent in this regard), similar issue with the temple-meets-hairline corners. He had to get a repair job later but his hairline still looks a bit odd - he'll have to make his peace with his hairline not looking quite right despite the corrective work simply because he got it badly wrong with his clinic choice on the first pass. His hairline will always be slightly comprised as a consequence. Your crown looks really good! Basically ElitHair aren't a very good hair restoration clinic, and it'll be a bit of a lottery as to whether the results are decent or not. That's what they are capable of; decent results at best. Luckily yours is indeed decent (Matt's was terrible), but my argument for all the guys in the comments considering going there is to ask whether they want the lottery of a 'decent' result, vs spending more money on a potentially *excellent* result? If the answer is 'no' then they need to spend some time learning what natural hairlines look like, and what is needed in order to best recreate them. I've enjoyed watching your videos and will keep watching!
@ZeoWorks
@ZeoWorks 3 года назад
Hi mate, while you are correct in regards to the multi-graphs, I disagree that it makes the hairline look strange. To me personally, his hair still looks very natural, I think they did a great job with the construction and with the mature shaping. They've also recently began the DHI method as an alternative to saphire. MattDominance had MUCH worse balding, this is definitely the beginning of his complications. Furthermore he simply refused to take finasteride for the longest time. I think if you want a transplant to move your hairline down a couple of inches, elithair is a brilliant choice, they also do a wonderful job with the crown area as long as the circumference isn't too drastic (as you mentioned). Personally, I've seen better results at this clinic than any other UK clinic that charges thousands more. :) Great detailed analyses non-the less!
@mooney11
@mooney11 3 года назад
@@ZeoWorks I don't think this chaps hairline looks strange - because although there's some of the wrong grafts, there are enough micro-irregularities contained within the hairline to make it look natural enough. MattD had not only many more multi grafts, by a very linear 'band' of hair with little to no irregularities within the design. He's talked about it openly before. As a result, it draws the eye and does look 'off'. The repair work has improved it a lot, but nowhere near to the level that he would have had if he'd gone to a better clinic in the first place. I really don't think you can say that a clinic that puts multi grafts in people's hairlines and is technician led is a "brilliant" choice for people's hairlines. It's a cheap choice, and a bit of a gamble as to whether you get a decent & passable result (like Hairline Confessions), or an artificial looking one (like MD's). That's not "brilliant". No brilliant HT surgeon puts multi's in the first few rows of a hairline restoration. That's rank amateur work. I've also just detailed some of the other technical issues with this particular case - issues you just don't get at better (brilliant!) clinics. You're probably correct about their crown work. At this level, they've done well. If they had to reconstruct the full 'whorl' of a crown... I'd bet good money that they couldn't do it. You're absolutely correct about most UK clinics. Many are not better (but are indeed more costly). There are however 3 very good options in the UK, but very expensive (Dr Farjo, Dr Reddy & Dr Ball). All 3 are in a totally different league to most Turkish outlets, including Elit. Outside of that I'd never go near any of the other UK options with a barge pole. And even then, my own preferences from nearly 10 years of extremely thorough research are away from the UK in any case.
@ZeoWorks
@ZeoWorks 3 года назад
@@mooney11 You have a terrific insight into hair transplants and the clinics that operate them! I 100% agree that it will always be a gamble with international clinics outside the UK. Especially clinics that operate on multiple people per day. While the saying 'you get what you pay for' stands true for more cases. I feel elithair does offer better value for money than most turkish clinics (at least in my research experience). To be fair I may be biased as I'm sitting in a hotel at the opposite side of the clinic after getting my procedure with them! When researching clinics in other counties, I found the United States to have absolutely disgusting prices, true cons over there. Thanks for your detailed response.
