Looks like you are sitting in a hand dug well in the beginning. I need one of those long Tom’s for my pothos plant! 🤗

That is an 18th century foundation for a little barn behind the pottery shop .Our pottery building was built by Silvanius Bishop before the mid 18th century :) here in west Bantam know back then as the "Batam Stockade "

very lovely indeed and what pleasure those simple lines give. A Long Tom is a name I know as it has crossed the Atlantic but I know not the origin, any pointers?

@@user-kg7ed1gb4i The origins of names are hard to nail down. I assume English in origin. My personal guess without knowing is a guy named Tom used ceramic piping to plant with 😂😂 It’s a great style for tap root like rosemary, tree seedlings ect.. Designers like them for windowsills because of their tall skinny shape. They can also accent topiary’s because of their height.
