Dear Frazil, please keep in mind that you guys have disassembled and reassembled these things 1000 times...we have not!!! This videa progresses way the hell too fast. I've had to stop, back up, and play several times because the reassemble part of this video is just too fast to follow along...especially for first timers like me. I suggest reshooting this video, and just...slow...down.
You can optionally use it on the faucet seal. It is not required. It helps to stop leaks. If the faucet seal is leaking, it should be replaced rather than rely on the silicone / lube.
Sure wished I would have watched this video in its entirety instead of stopping after it got to the part about cleaning the filter because I sure did clean everything all the part went to put it back together went to pour the product back into the machine only to find out that the seal was not in place and the product spilled all over everywhere ...yikes!
