did u go open mid close with .5 guard or u only went close with the .5 guard I'm a upcoming barber myself and i want to be able to make a gradient transition if that make sense?

I usually make that choice based on the clients hair texture. I stay around half way closed to fully closed when using the .5 guard most of the time, using it all the way open doesn’t really work for me!
