Amazing footage. Hard to believe that there was hardly any buildings on Nun's Island when I was a kid back in the late 1960s ad early 1970s save the old toll booths and you put a quarter in but I remember it as if it was yesterday. Quite a transformation since then.
The old Champlain Bridge was such a dumpy, uninspiring bridge compared to the Jacques Cartier or even the Mercier. You can see how the new Samuel de Champlain was designed to be a gateway to Montreal.
