Never said he can’t score. My comment was regarding the record being broken. When you got a potential generational franchise centremen giving you the puck, you have more opportunity to score goals. It’s not rocket science.

Also Caufield should be a better prospect vs DeBrincat , But anything can happen , I personally thing this guy is the next top scorer of the NHL i wouldnt be surprised if he would be top 3 in 3-5 years depending when he starts.Could also be a burst draft too . Time will tell us

Buddy put up an 100 point season in u18 dev in 64 games. Size may be a disadvantage but it isn’t all there is to the game. From what we’ve seen this guy’s got speed and skill on his side. Look at Johnny Gaudreau, the guys like what 5’8 and he’s one of the most skilled offensive players in the league. Patrick Kane is like 5’10, the list could go on for many successful players who aren’t tall. This guy was most definitely a steal.

He has won 10 Stanley Cups (player & coach) on 4 different Clubs in 5 different decades. Team Shrimp (Habs) picks an even smaller shrimp Cole Caufield. Mr. Robinson has let it be known that the St. Louis Blues have shown that size and weight and a mediocre goalie (Bennington) can defeat Skill and Speed and a superior goalie (Rusk). In this past Stanley cup final, the Bruins smaller players (McAvoy, Krugg, Grzelcyk, Marchand, Bergeron), were all pounded into a pulp, into fear, into pain, into hesitation and inefficiency. Its is OK to have a few small players, but when you already have 10 guys 6 foot nothing and smaller (Habs), you should draft bigger players.
