Note: this train was travelling in the direction of Cote Vertu, for the sake of anyone watching who may not be from Montreal and may be less familiar with the Montreal metro. ====================================================================================== Note at Plamondon, there is no explanation as to why the train ois endong at Plamondon, instead of theusual cote Vertu. Added information on disruptions is given only on a need to know basis,. Public curiosity can be a crowd control problem, so the less that has to be said the better.

If you watch the following video I did in the Metro service disruption playlist, you would see that the disruption on this video and that video are the same, the STM just extended it

As for the announcements, they only announce the cause of the disruption like they did in this case, only after the disruption ends do they make a code announcement and which station the code is at

... It appears that there were more than one disruption in more than one place. So wihile watching these videos, viewers will need to be sure of which video relates to which disruption, partly because there are more than one video for some or all of the same lot of disruptions.

From a Greater Montreal Retired electronic technician who also holds an interprovincial electrician's ticket... ========================================================================================== (This is a paste-post relating to another video about Montreal Metro disturbances. since I was unable to paste-post there and I saw this video on a related subject, I am paste-posting here, for the public's benefit. Disclaimer: I do not hold a law degree, however what I proffer here can be used as pointer of what to seek or ask of legal and other professionals.. Hence what follows does not truly consist of "legal advice", but a warning to seek professional counsel when needed. My remarks here are intended as 'pointers' or suggested issues to be discussed with appropriate and legally authorized to practise professionals if and when the matter to which they have been associated threatens to be of appropriate import. Pointers are not a substitute for professional advice, but might also serve to dissuade a person or persons from getting involved in one or other potential problematic situation, yet such avoidance can also be of serious import, therefore once again all are advised additionally, in that guise to consult professional advice before attempting anything that might be seen as criminal or other negligence that might become of legal import. On Protection of professions: While there is a legitimate need to protect professions and professional practise, this also can be taken too far at times. While protecting professional practise serves, to a degree, to protect the citizen's rights to avail themselves ofadequately trained and ethically bonded professional advice, when protection of such kind concurrently serves to result in professionals or others using same support a "protectionisy" or co-dependent lack of ethical and pro-active performance, such measure of protectionism has then exceeded its reasonable limits of sociological effectiveness, and then becomes deleterious. > is to re-apply power ( obviously to the current bars. This suggests to me that there had been a disruption and they had had to kill the power in order for service personnel to be able to access the tracks safely. Once that had been done, and the need to access the tracks had been resolved, they would then have the operating central re-activate the power to the rails. While oit is policy for the STM not to announce details of disturbances, historically one of the main reasons isrelated to suicides. There was a time when these were announced but it was found that doing so increased the suicide statistics, so the practice of announcing disruptions was eliminated. Additionally, ione should not think that suicides are the only cause of disruptions. disruptions can occur at random from many and varied sources. Nonetheless the details are usually not announced. Only if a particular disruption was of a nature that added details were necessary awareness for public safety or cause of comparable necessity would I expect to hear more details. In short, on an authoritatively recognized need to know basis. Additionally due to federal law, any person misapproipriating such information could be chaged for so doing, however that would initially likely be a civil issue, anthough that could also give rise to a criminal charge under certasin conditions.

Aleenah Gaudet if you are referring to the voice at 18:10that’s actually my voice telling passengers that the train is out of service

No, no. I was talking about the lady that was telling the people to evacuate the train and take the next one like she did at 18:33 sorry if I confused you. I've never heard that lady speak English

Yeah I rewatched it and I just noticed it... I asked a good friend about it and he says it’s a new audio that the STM recorded

I would get a chuckle if they actually recorded English announcements for everything. I wonder if there would be enough time to do both between Berri and Beaudry or McGill and Peel.
