Her performance makes me tear up every time. It’s not just the crystalline voice, but something in the warmth and sincerity of it. It feels like a divine mother’s embrace.
@@laflaca6666 No, it's about a certain female offspring pleading to her male conciever, commonly known as the term "father", to authorize her to pledge her troth with her partner in which she shares sexual/romantic feelings with.
Our beloved Freddie Mercury said, it was his lifetime dream to sing with her. He did, he was humble enough to say she was the most beautiful lady in the world. ❤
Its not that freddy is humble, he is honest and genuine, his appreciating the beauty of her angelic peformance. For you idk you probably thinking woman must look like sslvts
She looks like one of those rare persons who treats everyone with such kindness that collapses all your defenses and touches that deep place inside you
Thats totally true even i have my oun interpretation and i want to ear youre personal opinion ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j8qmAoqWKw4.html
Exactly my second impression of her (first was her amazing voice, never heard anyone like her). I saw an interview with her a long time ago and it stuck to me how humble and warm she was.
My mother passed 2 years ago (October 10th)...It does not get easier! But this is her! Singing as she peeled the vegetables for an incredible Sunday lunch! Thank you! x
How Humankind Came To Be “...Since it’s the new year, I should have said a few festive words that everyone likes to hear, but I see danger is getting closer and closer to mankind. Because of this, Gods and Buddhas asked me to tell all beings in the world a few words that the Gods wish to say. Every word reveals heavenly secrets, and the purpose is for people to know the truth and be given another opportunity to be saved.” * Why the Creator Seeks to Save All Life “...The Creator is the Lord of all gods in the cosmic realm, and He is the maker of the Lord of all lords, and the King of all kings. He commands all beings, including all humans, gods, and things in the Three Realms, which He has created. His love is the ultimate holy grace for sentient beings! It is the greatest honor for the world’s people to be loved by Him!” New articles by Master Li Hongzhi on Minghui website
@@nathelondon3719 Hardly. Rosa Ponselle, Rosa Raisa, Renata Tebaldi, Zinka Milanov, Leontyne Price, Joan Sutherland - all had greater voices or at the very least, more beautiful voices.
Here because of a tumblr post about some Judge in New Jersey not believing one of the jurors was an opera singer and had a rehearsal. Thus she she sang this wonderful piece in front of the entire court to prove it. The Judge excused her afterwards.
Beautiful. When humans dedicate their lives to something bigger than themselves, like peak artistic performance, they are as close to divinity as you can get.
plutao I could listen to Freddie Mercury sing, all day every day. He was certainly before his time. I don't know that there could ever be a duet quite as pronounced and beautiful as Barcelona. Back in a time when music had substance. Living in a Country that snubs a magnificent band like Queen a Grammy, but awards Taylor Swift. Should be a crime really. But I could be biased; as Freddie Mercury hasn't done anything musically that I don't like. He was truly a genius.
plutao I know... The US MTV refused to play Queens "I want To Breakfree" music video because they were dressed in drag...Brian May said in an interview that was really what hurt their career in the U.S. Fucking stupid. We didn't even induct Queen in the music hall of fame for at least a decade following Freddie's death. If that doesn't tell you how corrupt our music standards/industry is, nothing will.... Blows my mind that Bohemian Rhapsody was the first rock song ever over 6 minutes long, commercially successful, had tons of air time, yet Beyonce, Kanye West, and other non worthy hacks have taken over 15 to 20 Grammys home? I smell intolerance for ones lifestyle choices rather than anything constructive. Says a lot about a band with a lead vocalist (with an almost 5 octave range) have a song over 6 minutes long make its way back to a top 10 music chart status because a stupid SNL spin off played it in a scene of a movie! All the while it was written by Freddie in the mid 1970's, and Freddie had fatally succumbed to an Aids related illness 2 to 3 years prior to the premier of Waynes World. "We are the Champions" "Another one Bites the Dust," and "We will Rock You" are widely used and recognized at sports events all over the world. I had to memorize Another One Bites the Dust on Clarinet for marching band in high school. Played it at every football game. "Gold digger, and Single Ladies" will not be a legacy.
Effortless! If I could time travel, I don’t want to change anything but to be in audience to experience this utter mastery of sound. Every note, every expression, timeless…
Her voice was as angelical as was powerful. I'll never forget her concert in San Francisco, when she went from the softest sound to peeling the paint off the walls of Memorial Opera House. Oh that I miss her!
How is it even possible to sound so ethereal and angelic. Its all most super natural. It makes the soul cry in joy. Bless you for giving us something so beautiful and pure. humans are so awesome.
She was a big woman with a BIG personality and a HUGE voice and a large, large, laughter. Oh Monserrat, how I wish I had discovered you earlier! Your daughter does sound like you. But you are the voice of a generation!
Ani Vardanyan Victoria de Los Angeles, beautiful!!! If they had the technology back then and captured her (Victoria) true dynamics that may have won my heart! :) none the less it was beautiful enough to sweep me of my feet. Thank you for pointing her to me.
Unfortunately, I've never had the opportunity to hear her sing live. Last week, I went on a little trip to Barcelona, her hometown. I went to pay my respects both to her and her family. I had a little moment near their grave, it was a precious and intense moment. Thank you for the music, Ms Caballé.
This woman has always reminded me of my mom. She’s beautiful and has the sweetest smile and voice. My mom used to play opera for us when we were kids and because she was classically trained she sang it just as beautifully. So whenever I hear this wonderful, wonderful woman, I immediately get homesick. Thank you for an incredible memory and a talent not often seen anymore.
Thank you google for let me know how ignorant I am. 4 min before I didn't even know Montserrat Caballé and 4 min later she gives me vibes to my spine and tears to my eyes. Wonderful
This aria has been a favorite of mine for many years. Puccini wrote it in such a way that when its heard it's emotional impact goes straight to the heart. Truly an incredible piece of music!
I had the pleasure of meeting Madame Caballe when I was working for the Connecticut Opera in the late seventies. It was my job to chauffeur her to and from rehearsals for a production of La Boheme. She couldn't have been sweeter, even with my nine-year-old son in the back seat. He told her he'd seen her in Barcelona in Tosca and she asked which opera he liked her better in. When he said, Tosca, she agreed that she preferred that role as well. What a lovely lady!
My God. What a pure voice! Those high notes are the cleanest, sweetest, and more delicate I’ve ever heard. No wonder Freddie called her the greatest singer in the world.
Alan Mundy Some people are delusional. She’s incredibly amazing especially for someone her age and she’ll improve over the years but as of right now, she’s not the greatest voice and people will have to accept it. But she’s very talented and I believe in her, thank God we still have young people who’re still interested in opera.
For 3 minutes, everything else was immaterial. Nothing else mattered, it was just us listening to one of the most incredible voices to grace this planet.
After hearing all those shrill pretenders butchering this song on AGT, you realize the massive chasm that separates her from all of them. She hits all those high notes so softly, with such control of volume and air flow, such purity of sound, it's simply astonishing that she makes notes far beyond most humans' registers seem so easily accessible.
That's because most of those AGT contestants aren't classically trained. They're passable choral sopranos at best, but any real opera performer can have them beat anyday. People are easily impressed these days.
The way she hits those high notes so softly gives me goosebumps because my ears are so unfamiliar with how those notes roll so smoothly without piercing your ears.
Can't believe some people don't find her "Beautiful" like, What? She's an old lady in her 40s or 50s . But look how she mesmerized the whole audience with her Elegance and Class. And that Voice! If I were a Guy I'd court her.
Well , some people denying her being beautiful can't fathom that. That woman age and can still look beautiful. Not every middle aged woman out there look like Jennifer Aniston.
There's a reason why she was and always will be the greatest opera singer of our time. You take a sad song and put it into her hands and it will make your heart shatter in tears.
@@renzocavani6524 well, if we are talking pure opera singing prowess, yes. Yet, I still like to remember Montserrat as the person who, thanks to Freddie Mercury (in my opinion, I felt that way), had this marvellous chance not only to be free to express herself far away from the rigidity that is Opera but also to introduce this form of singing to generations far beyond the times where anything but opera/classical music was considered 2nd class art at best. And let's be honest, Montserrat's quirky being would let any sane man fall in love, she was just that adorable.
I agree, but only if you also mention the great Maria Callas. She’s up there to. Not bg sheer voice control, but by sending everything with shivering and heartbreaking emotion... love those two woman
Simply sublime! This shows the greatness of Montserrat. What I most like about this performance besides perfect tempo and great interpretation is how unlike most of the sopranos that will hit that high note always forte, she makes it to a beautiful and tender pianissimo as I believe it is meant to be done.
Rare were sopranos to carry a vocal volume to pianissimo to volume. Zubrin Mehta was very taken by her controlled musical line. Her color and timbre just speaks of one bella voce...that is 'La Stupenda" Monserrat Caballe 🌹
How can you not listen to this and just cry? Her control is stunning, especially in those higher moments. While most would portamento, her high notes seem to just float out of nowhere. Her connection with the text here is so stupendous. A legend.
