Just love Tims enthusiastic delivery. Can listen to him for hours. Living over the pond and not having been to Gettysburg (yet!) I find the whole boundaries thingy confusing but also facinating too. Thanks Tim! 😀

I am loving this Monuments Monday series. Thank you, Tim, for clarifying what is and is not counted. A bit confusing, but you really simplified it. Thank you for your never-ending wealth of information.

It's pretty clear what you are not going to count. It makes a lot of sense to establish your criteria and explain that first. I look forwaqrd to your videos of the count. Thanks, your enthusiasm id contagious. 👍👍🗿

Tim this was a little confusing. Trying to understand exactly what you mean leaving out certain burrows. But, you know more than any of us. Thanks for sharing. ❤️❤️👍

Holy Cow! This is a lot more complex than I would have guessed. Having said that, I can't wait to see how many of the monuments and markers I recognize and how many new ones that I was not aware of are brought to light. Carry on! Can't wait for next Monday!!

Very interesting! It would be an interesting and amazing study of the Park’s relationship with its neighbors! Probably take a team of lawyers to figure that out’

Hi Tim. These programs are great! Any plans to cover Gettysburg campaign monuments in nearby counties--Franklin, Fulton, York?

6:00 = fascinating. Are there other little parcels of land like that inside the borough that the park owns?

How about historical information plaques on the buildings like the David Wills House or the Farnsworth House also like Jennie Wade birthplace and the home she lived in on Baltimore Street?...love your videos Tim!

Yes, I am going to count some of them. Probably not the HGAC plaques though. There are more of an award for the owners historic restoration efforts, than a monument or marker. But I will talk about them at some point.

Reading Glenn Tucker’s book, 'High Tide at Gettysburg', I was astonished to read his rather negative description of 'Gettysburg hero' John Burns. Also, interesting is Tucker’s statement that any Union private soldier could have id’d Cemetery Hill as a strong military position. No general was needed to do that.

SMH. Let’s get more confusing and see who pays taxes to the Borough and count them regardless of where they are located.
