Yes, and , I would say, also and especially in 1969 with songs like 'Sweet cherry wine', 'Breakaway', 'Crystal blue persuasion ', 'I'm alive', 'Sugar on Sunday', 'Ball of fire', 'Making good time', 'Loved one', 'She' and still maybe others. The fantastic 'Crimson and clover' and its excellent B-side 'I'm taken' have been edited in december 1968, it seems to me, but I think we can associate them with the mentioned songs... And the very good extended version of 'Crimson and clover' has been recorded in 1969 , certainly.

One of the best songs ever made to get you up off your seat and onto your feet. Yeah i remember when this got in the UK charts and hit no.1. The group had the 'right' sound at the right time'.....but only with this record. Back in the 60's music trends were moving fast with 'one hit wonders' falling by the wayside very quickly. Those that survived were consistent prolific musicians. TJ and The Shondells only had one other record charting at 38 in the UK. Their success was confined to the US which seems to be where they stuck and never toured outside their own country where established UK groups were already touring the US and Europe

cbak12sg "Mony Mony" is a 1968 single by American pop rock band Tommy James and the Shondells,[2] which reached No. 1 in the UK Singles Chart[1] and No. 3 in the U.S. Written by Bobby Bloom, Ritchie Cordell, Bo Gentry and Tommy James, the song has appeared in various film and television works such as the Oliver Stone drama Heaven & Earth.[3] It was also covered by English singer-songwriter Billy Idol in 1981. Idol's version, which took in more of a rock sound, became an international top 40 hit and additionally revived public interest in the original garage rock single.

Eu tinha um LP da banda, adoro, inclusive tenho a música no meu pendrive, pela primeira vez após 50 anos vi esse clipe, aliás pensei q o Billi idon cantasse está música e havia pertencido a banda, mas me enganei. Obrigado.

SOOO Good! My wife interviewed Tommy James at the SURF Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa in 1969 for our high school paper. She said he was a true gentleman and very interesting!!

My roommate and I used to "rock out" to this in our dorm room. Girls down stairs complained.😅
