In this video, I will be doing an in-depth review and walkthrough of Monzo's app to show you how it works. I've been using Monzo Bank since November 2016 so if we count to the time of filming in 2021, I've had plenty of time to get to know the features and functionalities. By the end of the video, you will have a good idea of how the app looks and feels as well as getting a glimpse of some of the overdraft facilities, how the budgeting tools work and the debit card that Monzo gives you along with all the features that Monzo uses to keep you safe.

At the moment, only UK residents can open an account with Monzo. They are looking to launch internationally it the future, so keep an eye out for that

If you want to make a cash deposit you can use any PayPoint location. consumer.paypoint.com/ go to this link and type in your postcode to find the closest one to you

Not too sure what you mean mate. If you're having issues with a transaction you've made, you'll need to contact Monzo customer services

Hi mate I have blocked sending money on my card by accidentally getting the pin wrong 3 times on the app it’s now not letting me send money or order a new card my wages will get sent to this card making it impossible for me to access which is a big problem I was wondering if you knew how I can recover my pin it gives me an option saying recover pin but when I click it it just takes me back to the home page I do not know what to do

1. Open the Monzo app 2. Click log in 3. Enter your email 4. Go to your email and click the login link that they sent you 5. The app will then open and you need to type in your PIN

It just means that's how many days there are left until your chosen budgeting period resets. You can completely ignore it if you want

You can indeed mate, contactless works fine and Monzo won't charge you fees

Hi mate, yes you can export to Excel and yes, when you export it shows you the payment reference under 'notes and tags column'

@@n.h187 No worries mate. Yep, so on my exported spreadsheet it also shows me the references for transfers going out. For example, when I've transferred money to my girlfriend for cinema tickets, I'll put 'cinema' in the payment reference which once exported is visible under the 'notes and tags' column.

You can't delete as far as I can see, only archive a pot if you don't want to use it anymore. Go to pot > click edit > click archive icon in the top right > click archive pot

The Barclays app used to lag behind but in recent years the their app has come a long way. I actually use my Barclays account for my day to day spending and use Monzo for the savings pots. So I use both for different things. Overall I prefer Barclays because I think they focus on making the app as user friendly as possible rather than trying to make it look cool

Yep, it would work. Just remember that within EEA countries you can withdraw up to £250 every 30 days fee free and on anything above £250 you'll get charged a 3% fee. Outside the EEA it's £200 fee free and 3% for anything above that. Also bear in mind that some cash machines abroad may charge you a fee for withdrawing your money (nothing to do with Monzo) so try and avoid those

Why does it say £1 left for 14 days at the top of the app what does it mean?

£1 is how much I have left in the main account (so not including the pots). And the 14 days is how many days until the end of the month. It's basically so you can see how much money you have left until your budget resets. So that it's easy for you to see if you need to slow down your spending at any point during the month

Hmm that doesn't sound right, I would try again. Maybe you spoke to someone who doesn't know what they are talking about. They should have some sort of pin recovery process using your ID etc.

Hi James, of course you can! You can withdraw money from any ATM that accepts MasterCard (pretty much all of them). Also, Monzo don't charge you fees for withdrawing abroad within the EEA. Outside the EEA you can withdraw up to £200 every 30 days for free, everything above that will incur a 3% fee. Hope this helps!
