People who suffer from depression and in particular Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), are often found to have too much Theta activity in the brain during the day (4Hz to 8Hz). The Isochronic Tones in this brainwave entrainment session will help to elevate your brainwaves to a higher level, and hopefully increase your mood. :)
Get Mp3 version: www.mindamend.com/yt/mood-elev...
► Subscribe to my channel and be updated with my latest tracks:
ru-vid.com...
► If you are new to this type of audio brainwave entrainment, find out how isochronic tones work and how they compare to binaural beats here: www.mindamend.com/brainwave-en....
The session begins at the 10Hz frequency, then ramps up to 20Hz by the 7 minute mark. It stays at 20Hz until it reaches 16 minutes, where it gradually guides you back down to 15Hz and stays there to the end.
This track is available on my wesbite in 7 different versions:
- Ambient
- Electronic
- Forest sounds
- Guitar
- Hybrid (the one used in this video)
- Orchestral
- Just tones (no soundtrack)
Headphones?
Headphones are not required for this particular session, as long as you can clearly hear the Isochronic Tones behind the music track. But, if you can use headphones, I always recommend it. When you use headphones it helps to block out any peripheral sound in the room, and I personally find the entrainment experience to be more powerful when using them.

I was diagnosed with S.A.D. & years ago; and my doctor said that since I was living in Western Washington state where it rains allot and the Sun is simply covered most of the time, i needed more sun exposure. I moved to California! No longer depressed! :) Visit Hawaii often and Spend time in the Sun.

I use light therapy to help with my seasonal depression. I got a light box (from Alaska Northern Lights) and it has helped me so much. I no longer want to just sit in my bed all day, and that is the greatest gift ever.

Jason I'm listening to this a few times every day for SAD and amazed at the change within me after... I feel its also chipping away at the very tough exterior on my heart, the different tones, melodies and beats seem to be working from different angles...my heart is sending abundant blessings your way as it is being motivated to freedom through your beautiful work...A heart that was deemed dead is now beating full of gratitude to YOU:).......Thank you so so much!

I have both ADD and SAD, so especially in the wintertime I have a really difficult time getting started, focusing, and especially struggle feeling energized or motivated. I also live in the PNW, so those bright days when I'm in full-swing and completely "on" are few and far-between. I listen to this when I'm stuck in the no-sun brainfog, or just on days when I'm having trouble turning on and can't wake up. It perks me up almost immediately, and has become my go-to when I need the ability to think and focus. I wouldn't have believed that sounds could make me actually *feel* better AND function better, but it's uncanny. This song plus a happy light is some of the best medicine I've found to date. Thank you so much, Jason!

Omg... I love this one here!!! It works sooo well. I have suffered from ADHD my whole life and as I have aged its harder to deal without the heavy meds ... I dislike them... This I've been listening to once a night with headphones ... And in the morning on my speakers when I do chores... Still works! And I get this overall feeling of relaxation but I'm still productive... An overall feeling of wellbeing and joy!!! I recommend this very highly.... RJB

***** Even very positive people have times when they don't feel up to doing things, especially stuff like tidying and cleaning. So it would be hard to say whether you are depressed based on that. We all need a little boost to pick us up occasionally and I'm pleased this helped you in some way.

Jason Lewis - MindAmend Id what it is... I've been depressed before but this seems like a different kind of depression. It's not so much that I'm always sad, but more that I always feel tired and disinterested and unable to be productive on ANYTHING. And trust me I have most of the symptoms of depression besides that.

+Karin Vandom sounds like undiagnosed and untreated depression to me, that's what happens with me if i don't take steps to get out of my 'funk'. eventually i just become lethargic and uninterested in things that i used to love and can't find the motivation to do anything positive or take the first steps. i hope your feeling better and have found your way out of that hole. depression sucks big time :(

van guard I have been before so thanks, but I actually found out my mental problems this time were cause by my thyroid. It still makes you lethargic and brings you mood down, though. At the time I thought I ad depression minus the hopelessness like in the past when I had it... but nope, mostly was a physical cause (not that physical and emotional don't affect each other).

Call me insane but I prefer the winter over summer. I love the cold, I always have, and with this unseasonable fire weather and drought here in California, it does not help me at all. I'm rather depressed because there is no winter this year, and yes I did take a trip to Chicago where my cousin lives and it is winter there until May. Now that winter is coming to a wrap, I'm feeling so depressed with this spring and summer because its gonna feel like a long way for my favorite season to arrive and I need this now.
@MindAmend
@MindAmend 10 лет назад
Hi Ngati, an objective way to test this would be to use biofeedback/EEG, to monitor someone diagnosed with SAD. If the person is feeling low and depressed prior to listening, the EEG feedback will reflect a lower then normal dominant frequency range. Then as they begin listening to the session, their brainwaves will begin to become entrained and in step with it, and then start to rise in unison with the increase in frequency of the Isochronic Tones. Jason

Beautiful track 💓 as always, perfect 👌🏼 Thank you, for explaining about excess for Theta waves in SAD. Naturally always like more dopamine stimulants, more beats and energetic tones and music. It’s also part of difficult methylation, that brain can’t utilize energy for best performance.

Hi MA, the only issue I see is that there are so many bio/neuro feedback patterns emanating from the human body to extrapolate from that in order to know which ones are relevant would require a broad range of biofeedback and neurofeedback equipment and much study. That said, once you learn which signatures are significant, youve got a super objective way to observe and make modifications to the pattern(s) using a combination of tools and techniques. Imagine the potential!

Hi, normal music doesn't stimulate your brainwaves in the same way that isochronic tones do, because it doesn't stick to the same frequency. When you listen to the repetitive isochronic tones your brainwaves start to step in line with them and become 'entrained' (usually after about 6 minutes). The frequency of the tones move gradually upwards, guiding your brainwaves along with them to a more elevated brain state. There's more info on entrainment on my site in the 'How it Works' area. Use them for ADHD, too so diff range in each ear is good but do not think ur shorter vids like these 2 have that. any suggestions? Thx yours are the BEST!
@MindAmend

You can listen to this or the public speaking anxiety video a few times in a row, but it will mean starting again so to speak, as the frequency starts and begins at different levels. This track doesn't have different frequencies in each ear, but the public speaking anxiety track does and because of the frequencies used on that track it could be helpful for ADHD.

Do you do anything to sync the frequency of the tones with the rhythm of the music? I wondered if I could purchase your "just tones" opting and blend it with some favorite tunes.
@MindAmend
@MindAmend 9 лет назад
Martyn Speck Hi Martyn, you can get the 'just tones' version and try mixing it with your own music, but it can distort the sound quite a bit, depending on what you mix it with. I use software called Mind WorkStation to create the tones and embed them into the music. The software uses a unique patented way of embedding the tone into music, without distorting it too much. For your reference, here's a link explaining a bit more about what the software I use does: www.transparentcorp.com/products/np/technical.php. Go down to the heading: 'Entrainment Embedded Into Music'.
@TeddyMadison
@TeddyMadison 9 лет назад
Hi Jason, can I go about my day while listening or should I take time and focus on the tones? I'm assuming I could just do whatever as it seems it's just syncing my brain waves and my brain will hear it no matter what I am doing.
@MindAmend
@MindAmend 9 лет назад
Hi Wayne, you don't have to focus on the tunes for them to take effect, so it's okay to get on with other things. As a precaution though, it is recommended you don't drive or operate any machinery while listening to brainwave entrainment, because there hasn't been any research to confirm it would be safe to do that.
@Thrashaero
@Thrashaero 10 лет назад
I think the reason why we like certain music is because it does have certain frequencies that are sustained for quite a while say in metal with a lot of the double bass and different timing and trance music. i mean that's why they even call it trance is because it can get you to a trance like state. and just music in general can deliver certain moods we've been craving. so i'm not sure what the difference is between regular music and this....is this entirely research based, like the song used throughout to specifically light up areas to produce an acute effect? though i would like to try this music in a bodysound chair....or just a bodysound chair in general would be nice.
@MindAmend
@MindAmend 10 лет назад
Hi Thrashaero, the key part of this track is the repetitive isochronic tones which you hear embedded into the music. That's the part which stimulates your brainwaves and helps elevate them to a higher level. The music used in this track is there to help make the isochronic tones more pleasurable to listen to. I chose this particular music because I think it's quite uplifting, and it fits well with the aim of the session. If you visit my product page for this track and scroll down, you'll see some audio samples. Listen to the one marked: 'just tones', and you'll be able to hear the isochronic tones for this track on their own. www.mindamend.com/energy-and-motivation/mood-elevator-for-seasonal-affective-disorder-sad Normal music on it's own, doesn't stimulate the brainwaves directly. At least not in a way where you can directly entrain the frequency of your brainwaves, and guide them to a different desired frequency range. Isochronic tones are a proven method of stimulating your brainwaves, which can be measured on an EEG. Jason

@MindAmend 7 лет назад
Hi Samantha, it's great to hear you've found this track helpful. This track contains isochronic tones, which is the sound of the repetitive beats you can hear over the music soundtrack. If isochronic tones and brainwave entrainment is a new concept for you, there's some information about how they work here: www.mindamend.com/brainwave-entrainment/isochronic-tones/. To put it simply, people who are experiencing SAD or depression-like symptoms, will often be producing a higher amount of the slower theta brainwave activity. This track uses a steadily rising isochronic tones frequency, which synchronises with your dominant brainwave frequency, producing more of the higher beta activity which helps to elevate your mood.
@clarekelsey2774

@MindAmend
